What ingredient are you referring to?

Cholecalciferol. Its not actually D-3 the hormone, it needs to break down in the kidney I think to the pre-D3 as found in some foods then processes again in the body to the same molecule as the D3 hormone that occurs naturally. Cholecalciferol is the main ingredient in rat poison at a lethal dose for the rats.

Thanks for that. I’ll have to do some research. Rat poison from what I recall kills by causing massive hemorrhaging.

And isn’t D a vitamin? The hormone reference is throwing me off?

Well from what I understand what we call vitamins are actually classified as hormones in the body, but I could be wrong on that. Either way the molecule of Vit D in the body made from the sun is not the molecule found in the supplement. Processes in the body add or remove like a carbon or hydrogen atom here or there to end up with the same molecule of the Vit D. But definitely do some research cause even vitamins are being recommended to people in a one size fits all kind of thing just like pharma meds. Also vitamin K is a blood thickener, K1 more so than K2 from what I understand but I had to stop taking K2 cause it was giving me circulation issues and vit K counteracts blood thinners so they don't recommend taking both.
