The right has an atrocious habit of being reactive to the bullying left by whining about the left and then eventually adopting the left's childish games - thereby letting the left set the tone, rules, etc. And then when the left hypocritically calls the right out for acting stupidly (even though the right is just adopting the left's tactics) then the right whines some more. Its a pathetic and weak cycle. Shows a lack of conviction.
If the left hijacked the term "insurrectionist" - then the right absolutely should not adopt that polluted terminology and need to hold each other accountable before the left correctly calls out the right for stupidly, hypocritically betraying itself and its principles. Bc even if the right "wins" a battle by using the left's poison, they've already lost the war. You don't win by adopting the pathological tactics of your ideological enemy. This is a spiritual war people. There are fates worst than death.
The insurrectionist creed was whiny. Irritating like sean hannity. Unbecoming.
'Liberals'/socialists have been hijacking language for over 100 years.
First it was 'progressive'. Teddy, Wilson and Hoover were 'progressive'. FDR, running against Hoover, called himself a 'liberal', but he was a socialist, too.
We do let them control speech, don’t we. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard my conservative friends off-handedly use the term “identify as” as if it’s been in the lexicon for decades. And don’t get me started on the way people of all political persuasions refer to a large group of people as “the masses”. This is an old Marxist term but is nearly universal now. It’s a demeaning term and predictably, the person using it never “identifies” as one of “the masses”. We need to recover the rational use of language.
Yes, only spoofing the Leftist games and terminology seems highly appropriate but not adopting Leftism's betrayal of truth and reality. While we're on Hannity (Vanity i call him) he's the most irritating on several levels of his "show". One example; He bit-ches about Puerto Rico possibly becoming a state as a Democratic move and ignores that this position is spelled out in the 2016 and 2020 Republican platforms.

Are homosexuals really happy (gay)?
The list goes on.

Or "top of mind"... can't tell you how often I hear that now as stated by KJP when covering for Biden calling out dead people in the audience

I call Hannity old ‘tick, tock’. He nauseates me. I can’t believe he still has a show.
