I did donate $22 to the GFM as requested, but reserved a larger portion of my donation to go directly to Samaritans Purse. They are working with Trump already, but they stay on the ground, day and night until people are back on their feet. I will “ $2.00” that donation too, but I just wanted people to know they are definitely legit.
This is what I did too, so our “2” signature is on the Go Fund Me, but the bulk of my giving will go the buying supplies off the Cajun Navy’s Amazon wishlist on their website. They’re also already on the ground.
Also, JAARS (missionary aviation organization based in NC) is flying rescue missions currently and linked on their Facebook page if any one wants to make donations for aviation fuel.
Per Jeff’s request, the Coffee&Covid army always gives donations that end in “2”, ($12, $32, $102) so that it is easy for us and others to see our collective impact, even if there isn’t another way to quantify or “sign” on a donation site. If a site shows donation amounts, you can scroll through and see that while your $22 didn’t seem like much, a hundred or thousand $22s are encouraging and a reminder we are a team, a community and just not alone 😊

I did the same. Gave to both. Samaritan’s Purse is the best, but I always love the feeling of the collective contribution 😊

I haven't heard of the $2 signature. Can you please explain what this is?

No problem 👍
Thank you
Just make a donation that ends in 2.
Such as $12.00, 22.00 32.00 etc.
Easy way to identify all C&C contibutions
