I am using his words so don't jump to the false conclusion that I am racist. "Black girls get pregnant young often before they finish high school and live on welfare (without a hubby). They figure out how to work the system. They are not usually great moms and the kids grow up to be another strain on the system".
I knew one black guy we called Big Black who claimed to have fathered 17 children throughout the US and Canada but only lived with his wife and one child. He came to me one day after his latest impregnation of another woman and asked "I don't know how it happened, I pulled out". I replied "Don't you know about the preshot?".
Exactly. We subsidized and created this mess. You can’t really blame people for gaming the system. Everyone games it to some degree. We’re all ‘Players’ of one sort or another. That’s life.
The key is whether or not it’s a Godly life with righteous boundaries created by fear of God and the violation of His commandments.
God was kicked out of our institutions and here we are.
That was that convenience store owners experience. Perhaps he lives in a predominately black area and that is what he has for reference.
But in truth, any welfare parent will teach their child to be exactly as they are by example. Unless a child has a very strong desire to do better, they do what they know. Simply giving people money for doing nothing does not encourage anyone to better themselves. People need a hand UP not a hand OUT. IMO.
Taking away people’s pride in working and getting their own paycheck has been a very detrimental part of the way our welfare state has been designed to function (detrimental for those beholden to it, not to the ones keeping people “in their places” through it). It creates dependency and gives power to the State and the people who run it.
I would say, though, that the system makes it very hard for people to escape. There was a woman my dad “rented” a place to for years. (As in, rent of $30/month, or some nominal fee. Even in the 80s, it was cheap. She refused to live there for free. Honestly, he didn’t need to rent it.) She was uneducated and a low IQ, BUT law abiding, nice and wanted to work. The only job she could get was at McDonald’s, but, the second she started bringing money in, the welfare would go away, and she made less than the welfare.
and the far more strain on the system egregious white collar criminals will teach THEIR children to be more of the same. If you're punching down, you're being played
This is true. I dodged that bullet too in my younger days. The guy who did the deed was very p-- off when he figured out she just wanted him to give her a kid and from thereon she planned to sit back on welfare, just her and the baby.
The truth is, they have figured out if they have a baby, the government will give them their own apartment (Section 8), and food stamps. They see it as a ticket out. Mama is thrilled to have one less kid in the house, so everyone wins...but taxpayers and the child. The blacks have just been playing the game longer.
Sadly, basic facts are not racist. Having grown up in the Detroit suburbs, I knew several black girls who had babies in high school. A few of them turned out to be good, caring mothers and their kids turned out okay. I will add that here in Tennessee the mentality transcends race. I've also noticed a lot of young white girls of the middle Tennessee variety with young kids.
My son is loving it since they've closed the schools because road salt and snow plows don't exist here. It's okay as long as you don;t have to drive anywhere. I walk outside and it feels like I'm back in Michigan.
if traditional marriage isnt working for these young people then society has an interest in TEACHING THESE YOUNG WOMEN useful skills so they can make a living and support their kids. But we need to get in there and figure out WHY they arent able to marry and make it work.
Sadly, it's cultural. Thomas Sowell wrote some great stuff about the true impact of affirmative action and our culture - particularly since Johnson's 'Great Society' experiment - that is designed to promote government dependence as a means of social control.
and, I believe, the actual source for pulling the welfare set UP has yet to be tapped.
Yes, "on the gub'mint dole" suckers these pre-trained girls into the life.
Yes, they need a "hand UP not a hand OUT ", too.
BUT.
The TRUE source problem to be solved is the terrible LOSS of family unit structure in the USA. And, even that, is STILL not the Source.
The Source: God in one's life commanding a family structure.
ONLY by promoting morality can or SHOULD a government be involved; by sanctioning "good" things like Christian and Jewish and even Muslim(not the radicals) religions[not giving them money; given them credence and support with societal laws that enlarge them not denigrate them]
there needs to be a well thought out answer to this. like somehow move away from paying young girls of whatever race to have babies, and towards adoption. and of COURSE FREE AND EASILY AVAILABLE BIRTH CONTROL and (sorry, not sorry) Free abortion up to 3 months. needs to be administered by a compassionate women's organization, preferably coming from some churches. with COMMON SENSE.
Sorry, but if you talk to any abortion workers you will find out abortion IS used as birth control. What you won’t find out is how abortion affects the girls years later. You can get condoms pretty much anywhere, and they’re cheap. But you have to use them for them to work.
really it needs to be in coordination with some REWARDS. teaching these girls some useful and well remunerated skills to support their babies, and the Black Men's community needs to step up and start supporting their women... if the community decides they want them to stay home. the kids need to be raised by grandma or an auntie who needs to be paid something reasonable... there is a whole community and culture that needs to be empowered to deal with this problem. ideally it would come out of the Black churches from our Common Sense community
as an early track to the final road out of this hell, you may be correct.
I would modify that a bit:
-- Only the "pill" for birth control; not abortion via pill or otherwise
-- Abortion up to 6 weeks and ONLY after counseling by "right to Life" advocate groups(seeing ultrasound of their baby and hearing the heartbeat; hearing from a woman who is dealing with the psychological after effects of abortion; hearing from a woman saved from or NOT aborted and her life story; hearing from a woman raised in a foster home after being adopted). If the woman hears and sees ALL this, still demands an abortion, hey, it is ON HER. Let her go and deal with it.
-- in case of incest or rape: VERY special case requries very special treatment. I have no answer for that one!
Then, after all this has transpired for a decade or two re-route the train to a more highly restricted lane to abortion. . .
What about tying tubes until they are old enough to be responsible adults. If they never are, they go play all they want without killing another human being.
Well, I guess I just learned something new yet again. Your statement implies tying tubes is not permanent or somehow reversible. . . if so, yeah sounds good with the caveat that it could likely cost more for two surgeries or whatever vs pills each month. . . oh, another caveat. It fails to teach responsibility while taking pills . . . possibly, could.
If costing more, harder for government approval vs pills?
Pills are available now and there are more abortions than ever. It comes down to what a life is worth… to me, it is priceless. With technology these days, untying tubes would not be a problem if anyone wanted to problem solved.

You get more of whatever you pay for. If you pay black girls to have babies, they will have more babies.

so only poor black girls have figured out this scam? doubtful.

thank you. SO TRUE.
Oh poor white rural girls have figured it out too, as I’m sure have others! (I’m just speaking about the ones I have direct knowledge of).

and thats who moved 23 trillion dollars out of the country in the past 20 years. great sleuthing. so glad you're on this.
Show me where I said "only".
Hillbillies do the same thing.

Then, you will GET MORE OF THAT.
culture follows the paycheck. carrot and stick. its not a hopeless situation unless we give it up.

It require people to be responsible which is the opposite of what those milking the system are.

You're a monster.
It is becoming more clear that moderation leads to more murder.
Time to go back to treating it like what it is: homicide.

Call me racist if you want, but I know from close interactions that the black community delights in the creation of mixed race babies.
@Willing- oh, yes.
Interesting.
Never heard that one before. If so, it appears racist on their part!--against their own darker versions.
