Most of us (and I include myself in this to my shame) were so caught up in living a busy life of raising kids and doing everyday tasks and our jobs, that we didn’t pay attention to the government and assumed everything was A-OK with it. I mean, we got to vote, right? And while we didn’t like everything that was done, we assumed those in power over us mostly wanted us all to be doing well in our country.
Evil and corruption COUNT on that mind set. And that so many awoke out of the slumber in a relatively brief time, with DJT being the catalyst for that tipping point, has infuriated them. Trump is right, they’re not after him, they’re after us, and he’s just in the way. I’m grateful there were always some who kept faith and were watching things while I slumbered away.
It’s now up to us ALL to pay attention, and not let the siren call of it’s all ok ever worm its way back into our collective unconsciousness. Eternal vigilance really is the key to our freedom. The darkness hates the light. Be the light.
