The school is exclusively for LGBTQ and their "allies". Based on how gays were treated when I was in HS in the 90s, I didn't see why LGBTQ needed their own 'safe space' but they wanted one and built a new school with state & federal funding. It took me 2 years to realize why the school was really created in the first place. It seems obvious that parents from the rich, influential suburbs helped get this school created as a way to get LGBTQ students OUT of their school. It worked and it's a win-win.
Now that is a strategy: build their own place and make them feel special when in fact it's only a ploy to get them away from those who don't want the rhetoric. I wonder if any of the students in attendance or parents of those students see it?

Mmmm...something to think about...put them back in the closet without any awareness on their part! Hehe!
