Extra virgin olive oil. It’s been discovered that most olive oil sold on supermarket shelves has been cut with other oils (canola, corn, etc.), and/or it is rancid. You should always only buy EVOO that is labeled 100% olive oil FROM ITALY, because they have VERY stringent regulations about the production of their olive oil. I buy mine from Costco. It is Kirkland brand and says 100% Italian on the front label.

Thank you. I buy olive oil for cooking and had no idea that it might be cut with other oils. BTW. I’m vegan, but really need to improve my diet.

Almost everything I eat is fried in olive oil or is processed. I’m a lazy cook and hate washing dishes. So it’s been a one frying pan meal or one microwaved frozen dinner. I do better with raw foods in the summer and make amazingly good salads.
