I know it sounds like a minor thing under the circumstances, but to use GoFundMe instead of GiveSendGo is incredibly sad. The level of brainwashing is unbelievable. Organizers are naively using a woke communist deep state organization as the intermediary for charitable giving to heroes. Never forget what GoFundMe did to the Canadian Freedom Truckers and so many others, stealing their money and starving them out. But of course most, even the best among us, have forgotten. The Left wins in a million ways unless we are eternally vigilant.

Couldn't agree more. I won't donate for that very reason.

So … typo? Or do you prefer the crooks at GoFundMe?

Sorry, I had all these fundraising organization names mixed. It’s GoFundMe I’m against. I will, in the future, be more careful when I comment.

It’s easy to do, they sound a lot alike.

Exactly right. Several mixups just here in this thread. GiveSendGo made a big mistake. They should have called it FreedomFunding or GiveLove, something that contrasts it. Too bad.

Well

one could

make that argument but I also think they are faith based in which “sending” someone like sending out a missionary makes sense. Give send go. But agree its tough being close to GFM.

Isn’t GiveSendGo the Christian alternative? GoFundMe was the one that wouldn’t give the Canadian truckers the money raised for them. And GiveSendGo allows you to also send prayers to recipients.

Yes, that’s why I was upset with myself for getting the names mixed. I donate on GiveSendGo and deleted my comments that were in error.

Don’t be upset with yourself! We all make mistakes or mix things up sometimes!

Same thoughts. Seriously?!!!! I would’ve donated but not through them. I sincerely hope that they don’t pull an ethical fast one and find a way to withhold the money from those families. I’m holding my breath hoping they do the right thing. There are 100 excuses they can dig up to withhold it. Even if they don’t donors just funded GFMs checkbook. Sad.

Since that’s the platform chosen for donations I’ll use it to give to these families. They’ll get the funds they need and at some point the Lord will ensure Godfundme gets what they deserve.

I understand and respect this point of view. It's difficult.

But at some point we need to draw the line on supporting communist enablers like GFM.

I couldn't agree more. Never mind that GFM takes 3% i believe. GSG gives it all to the person. Smh!!!!!

GoFundMe about 6% on a $10 donation and about 4.5% on a $20 donation. Minimum fee is approximately 3% as donations get larger and larger. It's complex in that is 2.9%, plus $.30 per donation. Also they ask for a tip which is preposterous. GiveSendGo, the good site, has a similar transaction fee setup but it's a little less. And you're supporting what appears to be a good business instead of an Antifa Satanist one.

Maybe there is a way an alternative/additional fund could be set up? I don’t know who could do this though 😕

I met the owners of GiveSendGo at RePlatform Las Vegas. They are incredibly good people. If not for GSG, and C&C, we would not have made it this far. Thank you EVERYONE!

Fire Chief Compertore, who rapidly pulled his wife and daughter to the ground, covered them to protect them, and took an incoming bullet that tore through his head is as precise and real of an example of a hero as you could ever find. Objectively.
