I recall an article from back in 2021 where the author very creatively pointed out that Covid had created its own dogma. Mask wearing and vaccine uptake had become sacraments. (The author found Covid equivalents to the Seven Sacraments of Roman Catholicism). People like Birx and Hotez were bishops. Fauci was the Pope. The article would have been funny had it not been in fact true.

Anecdotally, I read a Linkedin article on the whole 'work from home' topic. One guy mentioned in a comment how he's still afraid to return to his office due to Covid fears despite being thrice baptised.

I am surrounded by their believers. 😐
Do you know how many of your neighbors are still taking communion?
No. But several of the practicing families were on board and fully compliant with the covid shots and protocols. They were fine with it.

Sadly I can believe it. 😐
Interesting. Please share the article if you can find it.
Sadly, I can't find it using less controlled search engines although I believe it was a series of tweets. There is also this one: https://twitter.com/prof_freedom/status/1491373716999409666
I found another one from December 2020 that makes similar points regarding the quasi-religious aspect: https://www.pulsetoday.co.uk/views/coronavirus/covid-is-the-new-religion-and-that-is-the-gospel-truth
