I also think that to get anywhere in politics -like state office level at a minimum, certainly federal- there's a certain amount of if not outright payment then certainly brown nosing with expectations built in.

And so it is with this reveal or false reveal. I just don't know. DeSantis' trajectory is not identical, no two are alike, but so reminiscent of another guy, let me think, oh yeah, Bill Clinton. Governor to president (well, ok, there hasn't been an election yet) in one snap of the fingers. Not saying they're the same person. Just looking at the bigger picture.
