Communism was held at bay in Alberta, Canada last night. Interesting analysis of our provincial election here:

The Orange is anti oil and gas, pro climate change, anti freedom, pro LGTBalphabetsoup, pro universal basic income—you get the idea.

Danielle Smith has now been given the green light to go full DeSantis in Alberta. Let’s see what she does.

Let's work on making that expression ('going full DeSantis') part of everyone's vocabulary!

Hmm--what would that do for his campaign? Imagine if a 3-word phrase had more clout than millions of dollars in campaign contributions?

First, no, I don't believe everything I read. But like Jeff Childers I also don't believe in political Superman. I also think that to get anywhere in politics -like state office level at a minimum, certainly federal- there's a certain amount of if not outright payment then certainly brown nosing with expectations built in.

There's also the old maxim, Be careful what you wish for.

Caution, precaution, skepticism, hanging back from bandwagons, that's just me, nobody else.

And so it is with this reveal or false reveal. I just don't know. DeSantis' trajectory is not identical, no two are alike, but so reminiscent of another guy, let me think, oh yeah, Bill Clinton. Governor to president (well, ok, there hasn't been an election yet) in one snap of the fingers. Not saying they're the same person. Just looking at the bigger picture.

For your consideration. Another 2-¢enter.
