But I am frankly tired of people sending me endless videos of 'big reveals' of any number of formerly known as conspiracy theories that end up being true, but nothing happens. I want to say "Quit sending me this stuff unless there is an arrest at the end of it!" I already know corruption abounds. But what are we going to do about it?!? I spent well over 500 hours (I tracked my time for an org I belong to) in 2022 trying to get good candidates elected and only 3 out of 12 won their races. Knocked over 2000 doors and indifference is rampant.
Don’t give up Donna! I hear you and I know it’s discouraging but we have to stay in the fight! I’m in district 62 and our representative lives in the same community we live in and she’s at best a RINO, possibly was “placed” in office by lobbyists. She won’t respond to most of my respectful emails because I challenge her. But I can’t sit back and do nothing; it’s not how I was raised.
Oh I can't give up either, I am just frustrated by so many of my friends who spend their days watching videos and sending them all over the place as if they are doing something. Complaining is easy, doing something about it is hard. It's a long hard slog to try to effect change, and instant wins aren't happening. The MO Legislature is a morass. I am now in D30 after re-districting, Jon Patterson, who is bought and sold by the lobbyists, ran his entire campaign running all over the state running for floor leader with over $100K in PAC money, including a lot of pharma money. Does she ever go to public events? Dan Stacy and Jeff Coleman are out there all the time and very open to discussions. Patterson answers some of my emails but rarely attends local events and he voted against the transgender bills, told me it was because they need help, and this will only push them to go out of state for care. BS - I wrote back that same for pot, abortion and many other things - that does not preclude you from doing the right thing. He didn't respond. I have a friend who is thinking about primarying him next year, and if she does, I am all in on helping her do it. Our county party is starting Build our Bench back up next month to start recruiting and looking for good conservatives to run in local races next year, local is where the D's have learned to infiltrate best. Our city council is a mess. I have been tied up caring for my mom since Dec but just moved her into a senior living place close to me so things are somewhat stabilizing although she is in independent living but really needs to move to assisted living but we are on the waitlist. I can't run for anything due to that but will help any way I can.
You might have your friend put in a call to your party chair Nick Meyers. He can probably tell her who to talk to and if she is serious, where to start. Good luck with getting your mama sorted.
Nick Meyers is the your state's R chair. Your local county chair would be the better choice for calling and helping for sure. But still, she might want to call the state's chair office.

Thanks! Party chair for where? Nick Meyers is not a familiar name. I am in Jackson County, our chair is Mark Anthony Jones.
