I found myself in line the other day with a "nurse educator" and absolutely unprompted she started talking about how great the vaccine is. Went to lunch with a friend and all she could talk about was Covid Covid Covid....and I live in a pretty conservative town.

I am exhausted by humanity, I really am. I've reached the point where I can't stand being around anyone and am thinking about becoming a hermit (I'm retired so this is an actual option).

I saw a handwritten essay by some grade-schooler on FB yesterday. Thinking of joining her! "When I turn 100 years old I will be tired of everything and everyone. So I will tell everyone I'm going to Canada but accuatally go to the Bahamas I'll live in a tiny hut with my tiny dog. I will order fish tacos when I'm hungry and live my best life with no crap."

Go Betsy, I'd love to join, but then we won't be hermits, it will be a party starting.

Not just today. About 40 years ago I went to the Bible study of an older gentleman who said he would love to just live out his life under a rock but he said he knew that wasn't what we are called to do. I couldn't really understand his desire but now that I'm his age then I get it! Like him, I know that's not what I'm called to do. Stay strong and carry the light!

I'm not quite sure about NOT living the quiet life--remember that old hymn of the Christian faith, "Brighten the CORNER Where You Are".....a CORNER is pretty small--but because it IS small--your "light" even though old and feeble, will SHINE BRIGHTLY!!

Jeff, I am so glad to read this morning that you, too, see revival beginning! I have said for at least four years now that we are on the cusp of a third great awakening in this country. I now believe it will be worldwide! This is how awakenings/ revivals begin: a few brave souls speaking out, standing their ground for truth against all odds. (eg. Alabama Supreme Court). First it is just a trickle, but I am sure the flood is coming! Our church too saw a significant increase in contributions last year! Just this month more truth has been spoken about our government publicly than in years. I believe the floodgates are about to burst! The truth about what has been happening will drive people into God ‘s arms, realizing our great need to embrace the power and authority He has given us over evil! I encourage everyone to have faith and pray for our country.

Now faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Look no further than God Behind Bars to see what is happening in maximum security prisons throughout the US and beyond. Prisoners are coming to faith, asking to be baptized and living their new found faith as prisoners for the Lord! They've escaped the chains of sin that held them fast. They now serve the Lord by leading others there to the salvation that comes through Jesus! It's a new dawning! All for the glory of God!

Back in the time of The Jesus Revolution, my dad was involved in Prison Ministries or Fellowship...with Chuck Colson. He would see hardened criminals weep as he led them to the Lord. It was a great time to be a child of God and come to Him at age 5...♥ Proclaiming in all His glory that another Jesus Revolution is present and at work right under our feet NOW.

Amen!! I just see such incredible things happening in our prisons that we hear nothing about on MSM... Loved Chuck Colson! He brought so much Jesus to prisoners! Thankful that there are so many coming to Jesus!

Remember Chuck Colson's and his wonderful and effective prison ministry? He was one of the "Watergate defendants" who was on staff for Nixon and he served his prison time and found faith in the Lord Jesus Christ while incarcerated. He vowed to spend the rest of his life sharing the TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL with prisoners who were incarcerate all over the planet. I wonder if his ministry is still "alive and well", since Chuck entered the "eternal world" many years ago! I'll have to check on that!

GOOD NEWS!!! Chuck Colson's ministry is STILL INTACT even though he passed on in 2012--I'm donating to it right now! https://www.prisonfellowship.org/about/chuck-colson/

Yes, it is a thriving ministry! He was a brillant speaker for the Lord! He said going to jail was the very best thing that ever happened to him, because it was there that he met Jesus and found his true purpose in life. Bringing the hopeless in prison the good news of the gospel! He wrote some extremely great books, too!

I too am seeing pockets of revival. Those seeking Truth.

But at the same time, I do believe that we are in the Great Apostasy. The ‘falling away will be great……but those who seek Him with their whole heart WILL find HIM.

Expand full comment

I can see where we maybe in the Great Aposty. One very recent example is the "HE gets us" campaign. this is from their official website. I can't say I've gone over the whole site, but what I did there was no Scripture cited at all. I would urge anyone to look Ito it yourselves and see what they are about. He Gets Us is a diverse group of Jesus followers with a wide variety of faith journeys and lived experiences. Our work represents the input from Christians who believe that Jesus is the son of God as well as many others who, though not Christians, share a deep admiration for the man that Jesus was, and we are deeply inspired and curious to explore his story. We look at the biography of Jesus through a modern lens to find new relevance in often overlooked moments and themes from his life. If you’d like to join us, you’re invited. Below you’ll find several resources to explore the story of Jesus for yourself.

You made me think of the scriptures that talk about the false messiah. Matthew 24:4-5 - "Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many." He also speaks about the path of destruction being very wide and the gate to heaven being very narrow. The "He Gets Us" campaign is leading people down the wide path but not through the narrow gate. They are a part of the "Everyone Gets A Trophy" mentality.

IMO the prophesied Great Apostasy began back in the early centuries of the Church, but as always history tends to repeat. It would be no surprise to me if events once again start to filter the believers into those who are really serious followers, vs those who prefer to make a christ in their own image.

No, but I laughed reading your description. My neighborhood has a growing influx of Asian people- Chinese and Indian. The elderly are all walking outside with masks on, hoods and sunglasses. They look like zombies. I am retired too and spend time at home with my immediate family and on occasion see my like minded tribe who I met online in a health group that refused the jabs. I only have two extended family members that are unjabbed. I hate walking into the shoppes around here as many employees are masked and gender neutral:/

I think people do get it. The rate for boosters is 24% That means a whole lot of people don’t feel right about getting the vax again, whether they’ve heard people are dying or having adverse reactions, or they've come to understand the vax doesn’t work. Either way, it shows some dot connecting on the part of the vaxed.

Given that our captors wanted us to get boosters 2-4 times a year, I would say we’ve won a temporary battle. Billions of doses of vaccines have been destroyed.

People are petrified they are going to die from the shots they’ve received. And so, they’re not going to entertain conversations about it. They want it off their radar. As for the people who keep getting boosters, just 1/4 of the population, they are unreachable and unable to make contact with reality any longer. Many of them will die, like my sister-in-law, who had six.

I say “many” of them will die, but not all. The vaccines weren’t developed to strike everyone all at once. That would have raised suspicions. Some vaccines were more potent than others. This ‘1 in 800” number (of dead or injured from the vax) has left plausible deniability for our captors. They’re not stupid.

Some deaths are coming years after the last vaccination, so it remains to be seen what kind of damage has been inflicted upon humanity in terms of numbers.

But word is getting out. Don’t doubt that. Pictures of the young and dead are all over Instagram. Joe Rogan talks about the dead on his show. Most people I know are refusing anymore vaccinations.

The vax program is both a success and a failure.

The sound of silence is everywhere. Personally, I find it shocking that one in four people keep getting boosted. Proves how effective the propaganda and PR have worked. And yes, many deaths are long after the jabs. As with my brother, who died of turbo cancer on 1/31/2023, after getting the two jabs in 2021. Or, should I say, ‘murdered’, not ‘died’. I can’t really describe how fast it progressed.

I’m not sure if it’s the marketing campaigns that are causing people to continue with the vax or if it’s ideological. My mother-in-law is a dyed in the wool liberal. It’s part of who she is, and how she looks at the world. No matter how her party changes, how much corruption they participate in, how much destruction they render, she cannot look at her party with any truth or awareness or objectivity. Liberals are used to “fighting” for their ideals—-justice, equality, etc. so she believes she is just continuing the fight. She cannot see that her party has been hijacked.

It’s truly sad in a way because her heart is still in the right place. It’s what she can’t, or is unwilling to see, that will kill her, or destroy her country at the very least.

Many Liberals are truly confused right now, but they still believe they are fighting for ideals that are just and critical to democracy. With my mother-in-law, I can tell that she has questioned those ingrained beliefs, but it’s hard for her to get all the way over the line.

Rather than be angry with her and call her brainwashed, I can identify with her confusion and the sadness she feels as the world loses its mind.

Expand full comment

I think it is ideological... My 78 year old mother-in-law is conservative, but is still convinced that vaccines save lives. She swears the polio vaccine was the greatest thing and wouldn’t listen when I tried to tell her it was the DDT they were spraying on everything that was causing polio. She remembers very well not being allowed to go to the pool in the summer as a child for fear of catching it. I think she has seen the problems with the covid shots, but not sure if she has taken any more after the initial two. It wouldn’t necessarily surprise me if she has since she sees several doctors regularly.

Expand full comment

There is nothing positive about living your daily life in fear. I get it. I used to be a hypochondriac of sorts, and had to learn to not entertain thoughts. So I understand the vaccinated who do not want this topic discussed.

My sincere sympathy for the loss of your brother. 🙏

AngelaK - thank you. I also have improved re: thinking too much about some negative things. And I have realized and better understood why jabbed folks aren’t comfortable discussing Covid stuff. It’s just become difficult to find any subjects to converse about with them. Kind of isolating.

With my vaxxed friends, we might discuss politics (we are of like political mind), but we just don't go there about the vaccines. The most I might say to a friend, if I hear they are sick in some way, is 'don't get anymore vaccines'.

Some will say 'no more', and others who have been so brainwashed through the years by their doctors, will not listen.

One friend, in her 70s, staunch republican, vaccinated but not covid boosted (I dont think, but who knows since she last said that) is experiencing some kind of cognitive issue where she cannot find words, almost stroke like. She wasn't the most fluent even when I met her 7 years ago, but it has gotten much, much worse recently (so much so that it is very upsetting to her, and she feels something is terribly wrong). She was admitted into a hospital for a day with every test imaginable run on her, and nothing.

I nicely said ' dont get a flu shot' and she responded that she already did in October, not quite understanding my insinuation. I know that she loves her annual jabs. I left it at that because she is suffering and there is no need to upset her more.

I did tell her to get fish oil or cod liver oil because it helps the brain. which like most people she didn't know. I sent her a link from the internet. I also told her that it will help her triglycerides. I hope she gets better, I hope she tries my suggestion, but she is so brainwashed into pharmaceuticals.

I feel that she is injured from not only the covid vaccines but the accumulation of the others she religiously gets.

Obviously can't speak for the person who posted the remark but I think of it this way-we are losing the ties that bind. My sister is apolitical, rarely even watches the news, and thinks she is a Democrat. Lives in a red rural area with a lot of chicken processing facilities. Says when she goes in town to Wal Mart she feels like she is no longer even in her own country. (immigrants, legal or otherwise take the chicken plant jobs Americans are too lazy or paid off by the government to do).

We grew up in the 70's and 80's - when shared experiences brought people together. We all watched the same Saturday morning cartoons, read the local newspaper, listened to the same radio stations, ate at McDonalds, etc. Shared experiences create bonds. I went to a politically mixed baby shower for a friend's daughter a few weeks ago. I had almost nothing in common with the vast majority of the attendees. We have no common threads any more, OK maybe the Chiefs, (I am in the KC metro) but I really left the NFL reservation during take a knee and know enough to have a conversation, but I don't 'care' like a lot of people do. People were talking about shows, celebs, brands I had no clue about. Ethnically, the group was not very diverse, but it is still kind of the same viewpoint as the person talking about their neighborhood - we just don't have much in common any more outside of our tribe, or my sister being in Walmart and hearing multiple languages being spoken by the people shopping there (which makes striking up a friendly conversation impossible)

I am all for diversity, in the old school definition of being exposed to new ideas, foods, cultural events, schools of thought, is a good thing as long as both parties have an open minded respect for the other. But there is a line somewhere that says too much diversity does sow unease/distrust/misunderstanding, and eliminates those ties that used to bind us together.
