For the last one, when our son was younger, we went in the back yard and noticed that the sun filtered through a tree whose shadow fell on the brick patio made beautiful, slightly-moving, ever-changing crescents. No need to look up.
Kind of a natural "pinhole camera"... someone who doesn't have a convenient tree can punch a little hole in a sheet of plastic/cardboard/foil, and put a blank white sheet of paper behind it to see the sun projected onto it.
Isn't there a way to "watch" without looking at it? Missing a learning experience, I think!
