I think they are saying it contributed to global warming

No, it's because it increases your cortisol levels and acts like speed. Eat something first. Has nothing to do with global warming.

Now that I realize that just about everything we've been told all our lives by the media, especially about health, is probably propaganda to promote products, I find myself hoping that the publicized benefits of coffee and chocolate weren't just jive. A quick search on Freespoke, which I just switched to, shows huge amounts of research linking coffee to being a deterrent to covid. I'm hoping that's true. Being a purist and a perfectionist

can be a vice too, but not one of mine lol

I use FreeSpoke too; have for quite a while.

Use Google only for things I don’t care the Feds knowing.

The problem with chocolate is that no one eats just chocolate. They add lots and lots of sugar and fats to make it palatable. So, yeah, it's just jive unless you are eating dark cocoa powder. Eew! All things in moderation.

Remember when eggs and red meat were bad for you, and margarine was supposed to be a better choice over butter?

They've learned more about cholesterol now and found out that foods with cholesterol doesn't translate to adding to your cholesterol. Red meat is a different story. It's the amount we eat and the way we cook it. They recommend it twice a week and in 4 ounce portions, not the 16 ounce steaks people buy in restaurants. IMO butter is always better.

I saw that too! They mentioned melatonin levels dropping and cortisol levels rising and to wait 90 minutes....well sheesh, that's not the point!
