“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” —Jesus, in Matthew 5:13-16

I just quoted that verse to someone the other day in regard to speaking truths that are politically incorrect. And if we do that we will be persecuted for it. They’ll say we’re being judgmental, lying hypocrites…NO, we must speak the truth. God’s word is explicitly clear on the subject of creation. Male and Female, He created…anyone who is confused about that is mentally ill and should be treated as such.

I had a salt and light conversation with my husband when I thought I would be able to speak at a city council mtg about a scheduled drag show. I reminded him we might get doxed, have our house damaged etc. It is sobering, but we must stand against evil and for good and proclaim God and denounce Satan and his work. Someone said in the meeting that the council members who allow this would bear the millstone around their neck. Many in the audience including me yelled out AMEN!

It takes courage- good for you! They are vastly outnumbered, but they’re also louder and meaner. All of us need to start showing up and speaking up, just like you did!

One young woman spoke at the meeting. she said last year when the trans group put on a drag show in the park she and a group of Christians showed up there and held prayer. Well that went over well. They found out who she was, doxed her, went to her house and scared her, stalked her IRL and on social media saying terrible things about her and had porn sent to her home. Yet, she got up and bravely spoke this year. Very moving.

Lisa CA thought you should consider a Stack of your own where people (especially CnC'ers) can talk God, His word, etc. If you start one, announce it. I will follow. I don't do Facebook. I am always energized by the verses you choose.

Ha ha! Glad you found it. Thank you. Incidentally, I was off facebook for almost two years then felt God wanted me get back on there to try to shine some light. Funny thing though, I had deleted it all, my personal page and two public pages, then when I tried to start over, it brought all my pages back. Never really deleted!

Raptor's avatar

Isn't that interesting about the non delete. I deleted a blog on (google - gulp). And when they said no retrieving it they meant it (except quite a bit of it captured on the way back machine. I assume they still have it. I deleted my blog after someone who read my blog found where I lived and showed up on my doorstep. Not cool. I never disclosed my town and used a pseudonym so she did some sleuthing.

Anyway I think you have to go where the unsaved are and if you are going there, you will reach them. May the Lord bless your endeavors to be the Salt and the Light!

A note: Keep a copy of what you write. One day they may delete your account. They deleted then reinstated mine, but it took some doing. It was utterly uncontroversial, but apparently someone didn't like me. Maybe I mentioned God in passing. (I wasn't a Christian then).

Now that really upsets me--I "deleted" my Facepoop page as well--2 years ago. When I try to "view" others' pages...it does not allow me to move about--I can "land", but if I cursor anything than the "sign in" page appears and asks me to set up an account. Did that not happen to you, Janice?

Is it just mental illness or something more sinister? Why is it so prevalent all of a sudden, with western countries and major corporations pushing this agenda?

After reading Jonathan Cahn's book The Return of the God's, I feel this is than just mental illness. Thus is a spiritual war and "they" are targeting the children. Part of the demonic transhumanism agenda.

I read Naomi Wolf's Substack titled Return of the Gods, about this book, I believe. Stunning, and rings true, actually. Makes a whole lot of sense. Those pagan gods of sex and debauchery never went away - they just were, well, quiet amd awaiting an invitation to return. We have left the true God, and he is allowing us to experience the rule of other gods and evil spirits.

It was mental illness until fairly recently! But I suppose because much of it (cross dressing) falls into sexual fetish, makes it ok. The new American pagan idol god 'sex', the god of all things sexually immoral or perverted must be worshipped!😡🙄

The perversion has been building for some time and has escalated to such a degree that there is no hiding it any longer. The group of people we call the Deep State, who are aligned with Satan and Lucifer, ( two beings intent on the demise of humanity) are doing every ugly sick act possible to keep humanity from their evolutionary ascent. We will prevail by taking responsiblity for our actions and living with Christ in our hearts.

Lisa Ca's avatar

Well, I don’t think it is mental illness. I think it is plain sin. I think God has given them over to their debased minds. But the “PC” thing to say would be mental illness. I also think many of them have demons telling them what they are (not) and how they should act and dress.

Expand full comment
Freebird's avatar

You may be right Lisa, the Bible describes it like this…

“Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭24‬-‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Using the term mental illness is borderline PC but I think may be justified in this case because it’s not as likely to cause a shutdown of the conversation, like the word SIN. They really can’t handle that much truth. But I totally agree that we often fail in not naming sin for what it is.

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:28, 32‬ ‭ESV‬‬

There was a very influential poster on MeWe.com when I wa son that platform afater leaving Facepoop--and she clearly stated that sexual deviants--for the most part--are "demon controlled" and need to be "exorcised". I thought that was pretty flagrant--but now, that I'm ruminating on it....it's SPOT ON!

I think only the Roman Catholic Church has been willing to continue to accept the reality of demons? I never ever heard any minister in Protestant churches allowing such existence. I think for Protestants it went out with the Enlightenment?

My non-denominational Charismatic church acknowledges the demonic. Some years ago, a churchgoer was delivered via prayer during the service.

Our church does. Nondenominational. But they do not mess with demons or perform “exorcisms”. But they acknowledge unbelievers can be possessed short term or long term.

I have been in the Protestant version of Christianity my entire life and I never knew of any of the churches I attended that avowed to "exorcism". Jesus gave the power to CAST OUT DEMONS to the original disciples...so I am wondering why the churches in existence now have "disbelieved" this doctrine?

Our church does not. Believe in existence but not exorcism.

Except for when I was in elementary school (and before) I have been a part of non-denominational/evangelical churches and none of the pastors ever approached "exorcism"...I am wondering when the Lord Jesus Christ stopped empowering His church from the ability to "cast out demons"? Was it during the Reformation period--or is is it because we are in the "laodicean" church era - lukewarm and neither "hot nor cold"?

In American, the churches are 503c, so are basically tied to the government because of taxes. You need to read the Bible, especially Genesis 6. That will help you to see that there is a big gap in church teaching now which was not there before. It makes all the difference. If the churches leave out who/what the nephilim are, it is like pretending there was only the South in the civil war. All this ancient knowledge was accepted and almost "ho-hum" in the Middle Ages. There has been a big change since then. Think about why Gothic churches look that way and why the churches which are built now just look like warehouses. It is more than money.
