Sadly, it is all big business from cancer to the flu to Covid to organ transplants to . . . You name it. Hopefully, people are waking up to what the AMA, APA, etc., really are.

If only that were true, Marci - I am factoring in about 60% of the world is STILL UNDER HYPNOSIS FROM THE "FEAR FACTOR" PROPAGANDIZING. The other 40% are mostly people like us....older people with "some" critical thinking skills--which, sadly, most younger folks do NOT have. There are always "exceptions", of course--thank God.
That’s because the schools do not educate; they indoctrinate. I do know some kids, including mine, who do not buy into the fear factor. Of course, I homeschooled them, in part to prevent the indoctrination I saw starting in kindergarten.
There are also a lot of kids who are afraid to speak up because there is rampant bullying going on in the schools, which the teachers encourage.
Really? I know there was taunting and bullying when I was in school (and that's 65 years ago for elementary school)...and my sons also were bullied because they weren't "cool". Teachers "encourage" bullying??? What kind of teachers would do something heinous like that, Marci?
You’d be surprised. When I say “encourage”, I mean, when the kids came back to school, some teachers in our local high school would ask their class who had just been vaccinated. If they were, they’d bring them up to the front of the class and praise them for doing it. The kids who didn’t vaccinate hid their status (although it shouldn’t be anyone’s business) for fear of being bullied because the teachers would also humiliate those who didn’t if they knew. There was even a teacher who asked their class what they thought should happen to those who didn’t get vaccinated. Those who didn’t vaccinate were required to test weekly, and, if they were on sports teams, to test before games. Only those who weren’t vaccinated had to do this. Trust me, I’ve talked to kids who caught a lot of crap (bullied) for not bowing to the pressure because those teachers would say nothing when it happened. Kudos to those kids for standing strong against the peer pressure.
Oh my! I am heartsick to read this!! At least when I went to school no teacher ever "bullied" me. There was one of my business ed teachers (Mrs. Doarnberger--whom I really respected) took me aside in my senior year and told me she did not vote for me to be an inductee into our school's Honor Society because she thought I wasn't a "well rounded" student and did not participate in enough extracurricular activities. It hurt me a great deal to have her say that--guess what! I was inducted anyway - a truly wonderful experience for me (probably the best one in my entire high school education!
First, I’m sorry to hear about that teacher. While you may have respected her, that she took you aside to tell you that was cruel and somewhat reprehensible. Honor societies have nothing to do with extracurricular activities, at least, none that I have been part of. Mind you, I was very active in extracurricular activities from sports to theater to choir to a variety of groups, but none of that mattered when it came to being in honors. Everything was based on grades.
I had an English teacher who was very hard, but also known to be a *itch. She didn’t like me, and I think she thought I was a kiss up (I wasn’t), but I earned an A in her class despite her obvious dislike of me. LOL At least she was fair.
In the CA city where I live, it’s very blue and very indoctrinated. It’s so bad that even the liberal democrats who consider themselves progressives are fighting back. Many of them still buy into the vaccines, but a lot of them are waking up. Then there are the maskers. (Sigh) I think they are hopelessly too oxygen deprived to ever wake up.
My son (the oldest) married a Cally girl (from the Valley no less--OMG!!) and they lived in the San Fernando Valley, San Diego and Sacramento over the first 14 years of their married life. I can attest it's a totally different "atmosphere" in Cally-- I liked the Sacremento area--the people were friendlier and the weather and "flora" reminded me of our home state of PA. Southern Cally? BLEH!!!!
That teacher was indeed "biased" against me--I'll never know why, because I always did well in her classes and helped with the Yearbook (which she was the advisor for both years - Junior and Senior). I thought we had a good relationship--that's why her telling me that really hurt. I didn't have the trendy clothes (my parents were basically poor) and I was a very "reserved" student--I got more open and friendly in my junior and senior years--LOL!
We learn from all of our experiences, don't we, Marci--"good, bad and otherwise"!
We do. I had no idea that this particular English teacher thought I was a suck up until she asked in front of the entire class, “You realize you’re going to get extra credit for doing this, right?” (She’d asked me to come in and do my presentation on a T.S. Eliot poem for another class because no one in that period had chosen it.) Her question shocked me, and I told her that I had no idea and just considered it an honor to be asked. I think she was trying to humiliate me 🤷♀️, but I was made of sterner stuff. LOL
I was a sassy and confident teenager. I’m still sassy (although others might use another term 🤪) and will stand up, even when I’m scared because, if not me, then who?

May your "sassiness" be tempered with righteousness and wisdom, Marci!!
Sass on--LOL!!!
