But you know what?
How many "smart people" do WE ALL know, who 'fell for it', and wanted to TRUST their respective governments?
Misplaced trust, as many knew THEN, and more and more are beginning to realize NOW.
Trust is going to be harder to come by, going forward. I HOPE.
My doctor son-in-law and nurse daughter pushed this crap on half the family. My son-in-law's father just passed-a horrible death from Prion Disease. When people (like my son in law) realize what they did, to themselves and their loved ones, I pray their rage will be a whirlwind
I think this is a key. From kindergarten up, we're trained to obey, respect authority, and do what's right for others. This military operation exploited that across all areas of influence where we have life long deference.
In the end, one of the stack cats (gato mal, not sure which) got it right: ALL the corruption is enabled by huge gov't bureaucracy, most of which makes rules and laws that help big donors. We have to close down all these agencies and remove money from politics.
Do that, and even the blind trusting folks won't have evil temptations to lead them astray.
I have to disagree with the first part of your reply. You and I may have been raised to respect authority, but most kids today do not. My liberal snowflake daughter (her friends’ description of her) who has been at least triple jabbed has never respected or obeyed or even politely listened to us. The schools taught her the opposite. Brainwashed in my opinion…
I am rethinking my habit of looking up to certain people I considered smart. Just because they have a near-perfect photographic memory and can remember trivia and quote facts does not make them smart. I’ll take common sense and a B student any day…
Only my thoughts. Regarding the pandemic hoax and ensuing vax crime, I want to comment with two posits - personal experience + media bombardment. What I saw from people (family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances) was sheer FEAR. They expressed fear and fear was tantamount to their reasoning ability. None of my attempts succeeded with asking folks to consider some facts about the pandemic and my plea for them to investigate the vax contents before lining up to get injected. Early on, I was castigated, harassed and bullied for my stand against wearing a mask. I subsequently learned to stay in the background and tearfully watch the on-going horror show. I could not understand their fear. To this day, I still do not understand why they are so fearful. But fear was the driving force that these folks displayed and to this day, that fear remains true for them and their decisions. These same people never acknowledge the vax as responsible for each time they claim to test positive for “covid”. These same folks have a love affair with the swab test. They also have a plethora of health problems - kidney, lungs, liver, heart. They make lots of trips to emergency centers and subsequent hospitalizations. A lot have died. Their beliefs are strong - they feel safe because they are vaxxed and boosted. And the circle continues. Fear, I tell you, is alive and real. Yet, God said - Fear not. Kudos to those who ‘fear not’ and to those who employ discernment.
Media bombardment was fierce. The world was bombarded 24/7 with the ensuing pandemic. My first clue of a possible hoax was the unexpected demise of the Chinese whistle-blower doctor who tried to warn us. Then we got newsfeeds from China about people dying in the streets and apartments being totally sealed with the supposedly infected residents inside. The effect was chilling and meant to instill fear/horror but what I saw was “bad theater.” Each and every day, global governments, the medical industry + ‘the experts’ bloviated to the masses. My circle was indeed small with like-minded souls. There were less than ten folks with whom I could speak frankly about what I was thinking and feeling about SARS-CoV-2. In my mind, it seemed simple. If you have flu or cold symptoms, you got OTC meds plus prescribed treatment. So I began researching and going-down-rabbit-holes to find truth and validation as to why I was not accepting what I viewed as propaganda being fed to the masses. Early on, certain tidbits were oozing into some of my feeds and I began deep-diving rabbit-holes in the Fall of 2019. It was the best solution for me because I found answers and peace with my decisions. God protected me. He has made a decision for my life but I have the gift of discernment. We all do. The threads are unraveling now on the crimes against humanity. What cannot be undone is the fear which some people have - it is alive and real for them. In my small world, these fearful folks have not changed their belief in the pandemic, masks or vax+boosters. These same folks are tuned into corporate media as their source of news. I can only speak from my world of experience. So for Ben to finally acknowledge his awakening, my respect for him is in the lower quadrant. He has the same gift as I do - discernment. As for corporate media - my opine is the media is complicit. Harsh judgement? I think so because accountability and responsibility are needed to justly right the crimes against humanity.
One day very soon, we will live in harmony on this planet Earth and be good shepherds of what God has blessed us with. Kudos to Jeff Childers - a genuinely great leader with forbearance + wisdom and who perpetually entertains us with his zany wit. And many thanks to everyone in the C&C Army - I appreciate each and every patriot.
I know quite a few people who weren't afraid but took it mindlessly and injected their entire family "to travel". In my highly masked area 70% took off their masks once the mandates were lifted. The majority didn't live in fear but in compliance.
Absolutely agree - since the shot roll out, I preface discussions about those I know who took the shot with "people I once thought were smart..." One of our sons, who is probably the least intelligent of our kids, had to make a decision very early about the shot for work and he was able, just using his gut, to cover his tracks and avoid having to take the poison while still keeping his job. Thankfully none of our kids took the poison which I will not attribute to their intelligence but merely lack of trust in government and common sense - something that is definitely missing in many of these "smart" folks. Just as the left absconds with words definitions to suit their purpose, maybe it is time for us to return to a true definition of smart...
I think part of it is the arrogance that can go hand in hand with the knowledge that a person has (or believes him/herself to have), a certain level of intelligence. They assume things and trust people they believe are like them without having any afterthoughts about it.
Misplaced trust is right. So WHY was his trust misplaced? That's what he needs to figure out and fix. And it seems like intellectual hubris could be the answer. Will he humble himself, or not?
He's really quite a humble guy...just young, right out of med school and deeply in debt. He does what he is told, because he NEEDS to believe it, in order to square it all. I love him dearly. The loss of his father is terrible. We need offer understanding.
A group of our, what use to be friends, all who have PhDs, ridiculed and ostracized us for putting "them" at risk for not taking the poison. All 5 of them are still taking the boosters and still buying the narrative 100%. One is a pharmaceutical attorney! I do not wish any of them harm but secretly hope one day to hear remorse. All Californians by the way.
My experience is that just the process of earning a PhD makes one blind-sided with arrogance. Add in the fact that these ppl live in an echo chamber makes it very difficult to get an original thought accepted.
When I was in college, one thing I realized was that most people getting a PhD were going down a narrow rabbit hole of specialization to focus on a particular very narrow aspect of a specialized subject, and they ended up knowing more than others about their chosen subject but not necessarily a single thing outside that subject. In no way does it mean the person knows anything at all about a broad range of subjects as so many people seem to automatically think.
I always figured the main value of college was to learn HOW to learn, to be a lifelong learner, to become a seeker of information. This was true for me, but judging from the last couple of years, it sure doesn't seem to be true of all highly educated people. Arrogant and narrow minded know-it-all defines rather a lot of them. And they often forgot to learn critical thinking. Sad.
Learning logic and critical thinking skills use to be most important to education at all levels. Today you can't find this anywhere except in a few rigorous private schools and homeschooling. Kids today, especially at university, are taught to simple parrot the approved viewpoint. They are basically taught not to think. And parents pay to send their kids to this.
To earn a PhD, one must convince those already in the field that they have something unique to contribute. But if it is so unique that it threatens the presuppositions of those in the field, they will be turned down. So they have to stick to the established ideas. Then, to convince themselves that their PhD is well-earned, they have to convince themselves that they believe those ideas.
But you know what?

My doctor brother-in-law has been one of the worst advocates for masks and jabs. I’ve watched, in horror, as he persistently pushed ‘this crap.’
My beloved sister and I no longer communicate.
I am so sorry. That is so sad.
Wow. I would advise you to check out Steve Kirsch if you have not already done so.

Thank you. It's worse than I thought.

Funny how kids are brainwashed not to respect authority, then respect authority to their detriment when something like this comes up!
That IS what must happen.
But - $$$
How do we battle THAT?
I’ve known some incredibly stupid book smart people, including in my own family.

Very well said.
exactly! And thank you Jeff, for being the crazy beacon o' light that you were back when each of us thought we were the only one.

Spot-on observation ... when I was an undergrad, we defined the various degrees as: BS (bullshyt); MS (more of same); PhD (piled higher and deeper).
To earn a PhD, one must convince those already in the field that they have something unique to contribute. But if it is so unique that it threatens the presuppositions of those in the field, they will be turned down. So they have to stick to the established ideas. Exactly. Very insightful. Check out the book, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Kuhn. All about scientific paradigm shift.
California... not another country but another planet in the distant Galaxy of Dumbitude.
I wish my daughter did. She is the most educated one of the kids and still believes everything she reads. Typical democrat!!!
Indeed, intelligence (particularly the look-at-me-I-am-sooo-smart variety) often flies directly in the face of common sense.
I’m glad to hear it. I am waiting for my 25 year old to get a clue.
