Her substack is very readable, if long. However, when she interviews people, I find it difficult to listen all the way through b/c of the near-constant interrupting. It may be clarifying but it's also very disruptive.

Well see that’s where you show your true colors. You’re only here to stir s*t. I just happened to have sent my college son that link last week so it was easy to grab from his text message stream to post. It was precisely relevant to answering what you would bill as an honest question, and I treated it as such. But now you show you really don’t want to understand anything, you just want to throw rocks at spokes.

I gave you the respect, you just showed you are incapable of reciprocating. I’ll be on my way now, you have … well whatever kind of day someone like you has.

You mean, like he did, for the most part, the first time around? We were all here then, Vonu; we can't be fooled into thinking he didn't. Most politicians forget they ever said such things, whereas, though he was my last choice of Republican candidates in 2016, I became an enthusiastic supporter - no new wars, progress in the existing ones, Abraham Accords, moved the Embassy to Jerusalem (not an issue I had followed or cared about, but he was the first in a long line who promised that to actually do it), reasonably conservative Supreme Court Justices (the list he put out in 2016 helped me to vote for him, and their presence has resulted in some critically important decisions), did build some decent wall against amazing opposition, good border policy resulting in what Border Patrol personnel have called the most secure border in their lifetimes, removed four (if I recall correctly) regulations for every new one. Off the top of my head; not complete, I'm sure. Cue the insult from Vonu:

She had a great conversation with Peter Navarro recently supposedly talking about his new book but she kind of hijacked the interview. Bless him Peter N let her take the conversation in the campaign messaging direction.

he was genuinely interested in trying to understand from a male brain that women’s issues need to be spoken about differently. It woke me up about the approaches we should use. truth is on conservative and libertarian side we do ourselves a disfavor by not using that kind of messaging.

Maybe it's not a big deal, but I think Wolf might have her facts wrong. She calls Shanahan a "tech founder." My understanding is she married a Silicon Valley hedge fund guy, cheated on him, and divorced him in a year. Then she married Brin (Google co-founder), divorced him in three years and is living off the $100 million in the pre-nup. Now she's shacking up with one of the early Bitcoin people. I'd have my reservations about her scruples.

Understood. It takes some listening and effort to believe in her legitimacy. Look at Jeff’s comment on her…he’s very favorable.

And yes she’s a tech founder…how she’s met and been around all those folks. Probably doesn’t matter…but if you wanted some links to interviews with her, could provide..lmk.

An essay NOT to be missed....

"...If they do join forces, the last reason I believe this alliance will be unstoppable, does have to do with personal qualities. President Trump, whatever you may think of him, is a brave man. July 13 2024 revealed that more starkly than ever. RFK Jr is a brave man. Just to step outside to attend an event every day, given his family’s history and the dearth of Secret Service engineered by the murderous Biden regime, takes unbelievable personal courage. RFK Jr has already shown he will face almost any attack in order to do the right things for public health, for liberty, for our country.

And whatever you may think of the other side — they are not personally brave people. With a show of real moral and grassroots force, from this alliance, they will crumple.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12. "

I’m excited about the RFK Jr endorsement! For one, I think it affirms many people’s sense that RFK, while politically and ideologically liberal, is also a man of principle and, like you said, for the reasons you stated, exceedingly brave. He also knows the deep state. Like, seeing the whites of their eyes kind of know - but isn’t one of them. One of the ruling elite, perhaps. But he still hates those who killed his dad and uncle and (probably) nephew/niece-in-law. I think he could have a net positive effect both on the election and on our nation in a support role.

I just hope he stays alive to make his endorsement, and of course well beyond.

I agree with Tim. Israel controls our Congress (three minutes of thunderous applause when Bibi entered Congress a few weeks ago, followed by 58 standing ovations from both sides of the aisle… Who gets that?).

Best we can hope for is Trump won’t accede to 🇮🇱 demands, but his recent acceptance of $100M from Miriam Adelson — which purportedly is based on Israel being allowed to annex the West Bank) is deeply disturbing.

In her Substack, she notes that RFK/Shanahan pulls votes from Harris/Walz. Why would we believe that those votes won’t go back to Harris/Walz? I’m not 100% convinced that the endorsement of Trump/Vance would be enough to sway those votes that way. One of the reasons people like RFK/Shanahan is because of medical freedom, but another reason is because they didn’t like the choice of a Trump/Biden matchup again. Now that Biden has dropped out, Harris is the fresh face they were looking for, even though her policies would decimate the middle class. These are the same people who voted “blue no matter who” in 2020 because they have zero standards on who should run this country as long as they had a “D” next to their name.

Fla Mom's avatar

I think Nicole Shanahan expressed concern that they pull more votes from Trump, hence the decision between forming a new party or pulling out of the race and supporting Trump, to prevent a Kamala/Walz win. It appears they think they could throw the race to K/W if they don't pull out.

The lesser is getting darker and darker as time goes on, and I'm at the point that my conscience will not let me vote for either side - each supporting evils I find abhorrent. Is there not a single politician who truly loves America and its people? Most of all, I grieve about all the foreign wars our politicians give so generously to with our taxes, wars that destroy countries and kill thousands and thousands of innocents.

I have come to the conclusion that my single vote will never make any difference so why worry about it? So I have decided not to worry about it and just relax and enjoy the show. I am nothing more than a fan at a baseball game enjoying yelling at the umpire. At some point unknown, the country will reach a watershed and the herd will be triggered. When that herd moves, everyone standing in their way will perish. Until the Empire collapses, the game goes on and then suddenly - BAM.

I'm not being a defeatist. I'm just trying to appreciate the view the King of kings has from His throne knowing that He sets all the rules and consequences which He metes out in His time. But I do like to throw out a few prophetic warnings from His Law.

I've admired RFK Jr for a long time as my son suffered severe adverse reactions as a toddler from vaccines. He was one of the few brave enough to state the truth back then, but his seemingly knee-jerk support of left-wing causes (climate change for example) made me suspicious.

Nicole Shanahan has really impressed me though. I bought the caricature of her being a Laurie David type (i.e. a froot loop leftist who happened to marry a rich guy) but now admit I was completely wrong. She is extremely smart and level-headed, and very well spoken. But most important, she truly understands what we are up against. I first noticed this when she put out a tweet listing what the problems the world faced. Most of them were standard populist talking points with one exception. I don't recall exactly the context, but one of the points was being ruled by sociopathic pedophiles (or something to that effect).

I immediately became a fan and became more impressed as I listened to her interviews. Not only RFK, but she belongs in a Trump administration too.

RFKJR could do so much to undo what Fauci and all have done on the health side. And there would be no mandates.

That would mess up WEF plans big time… they all should up their security.

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

That's my complaint across the board. Lots of words but, in the end, no prosecutions for crimes. Words are cheap. This corruption will not end until there are actual prosecutions that result in severe penalties, including Treason.

Expand full comment
Vonu's avatar

Treason is defined in the Constitution at Article 3, Section 3, as consisting "only in levying War against (the United States), or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."

All members of the American military take an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; (and to) bear true faith and allegiance to the same."

When the military is committed to foreign actions without a declaration of war by Congress, as required by Article 1, Section 8, Paragraph 11 of the Constitution, that is a violation of the Constitution, arguably the action of domestic enemies.

When a member of the military participates in an unconstitutional foreign military deployment, s/he violates both the Constitution and his/her oath to "support and defend" it, giving "aid and comfort" to it's "domestic enemies," committing treason by the definition given by the Constitution.
