There will be A LOT of FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) sprayed around regarding Trump; most will end up proving to be false. Don't get sucked into it already.

Now that we will no longer have people who will be thinking that Brandon is their bro, you may have to change your name! (yours always made me chuckle inside; truly love it)!

I know nothing about the particular situations, but isn't it a disagreement about whether the work was done to the agreed-upon standard? If not, where do their lawsuits stand?

I get the standard thing and done to liking cause contractors screw up but let’s see if I can find another example .

That sounds pretty bad. I'd like to hear the other side's claims before drawing a conclusion, but I will say it's not how I do business.

Yes, I know that. Thiel is connected to nearly everyone: Musk, Ramaswamy, Zuckerberg, Fink, Hulk Hogan,... Remember, Thiel was the DNI under Trump. But that doesn't mean much right now. It's worth keeping an eye on, but it's not time to jump off the cliff.

I have very good friends who are, gasp, LIBERALS!

Larry Fink.

Jamie Dimon.

Peter Thiel was influential in Trump's pentagon picks last time around, who turned out to be horrible. So unless he's going to pull some of his own deep state trickery, it seems like his followers are about the only ones to be fooled again.

Reagan said it best: "Trust but verify."

It's not like Trump had a thousand trustworthy people to choose from. Ties to isn't like BEING deep state like Pence and Bar and Dr. scary and on and on.

Let's see if the man shot can go scorched earth and execute terminal limits on a dozen 3 letter agencies. After all, it's Trump that has the most at stake.

No, Ric Grenell was DNI, not Thiel.

kinda like Obama, huh? kinda like Harris? kinda like a Biden when he got started? There are lots of these folks who get put in positions by others who are hoping to get an ROI on their investment. As often as not, that investment goes south because those placed individuals have their own egos and agenda. No one is pure in politics (Tulsi Gabbard may be as close as you'll get.).

Trump is trying to build a core of leadership in this movement that is young.

You had me right up until you said Gabbard may be the closest you’ll get to pure in politics. 😂 She’s a liar. A fraud. A D who infiltrated unsuccessfully because people can see through her. Not sure why you would call her “pure”. Wow.

I didn't say pure - I said as close as you're going to get. Tell me why you think she's a liar and a fraud. I've followed her for years, and don't see that.

I repeated what you said correctly.

When she switched to I (corrected from saying R originally) and she was exposed for being a WEF young global leader she tried to lie and said they used her picture on their poster without her permission and denied involvement with them. Because things on the interweb never go away I was able to pull up her very own tweet at the time they published that poster with her picture, where she thanked them for choosing her and how delighted she was to be part of them. No responsibility taken. I would’ve respected her more if she’d just been honest and admit she didn’t realize what their organization was all about at that time but she renounces them now. She chose poorly.

She is an independent, and has not switched parties; she left the Democrat party. She was affiliated with the WEF, but claims she no longer is. Over the last few years, I've seen enough from her that I believe she has learned from that mistake.

Everyone makes poor choices along their path. How you correct for them is what matters.

Sunnydaze's avatar

Oops. Sorry. I meant independent. Thanks for the correction. I still know she flat out lied about her involvement with WEF. I have the tweet saved as a reminder that she lied about it. I don’t trust any politician. We only see and know what they want us to see and know, including Trump. I’m well aware of his shortcomings too so I’m not blind.

Were her strong endorsement of the already senile Biden in 2020, her promotion of "climate change" and her pandemic-pumping, all "poor choices"?

TBH, Biden was "passable" in 2020.

Let's see what she does from here.

I had my eye on her too, for a while. I thought there might be some promising things about her. Until there weren’t. 😏

Neil Kellen's avatar

jeez...she's what, mid 40's and you are already writing her off?!?!

Remember, Trump was a Democrat who call Republicans stupid a while back. Reagan was initially a Democrat. Abraham Lincoln was a failure at just about everything he tried until he became President. Einstein was considered to be "not that bright" by his teachers and worked as a patent clerk when he started. Fred Astaire was labeled "can't act, can't sing, can dance a little".

Never trust any politician fully, but never think they can't change either.
