Unfortunately, his first decision, to retract their application to BRICS+, was a mistake to clear the path for the adoption of the Federal Reserve Note for their currency.

I agree. BRICS is the wave of the future and any country tying its currency to the US will be so sad.

Why do you believe that is a "mistake", Vonu?

Expand full comment
Vonu's avatar

Because with America's national debt increasing by a trillion dollars every 100 days or so, when the dollar goes down, their economy will go down with ours.

Maybe Milei is counting on Trump winning ?

Absolutely - did you watch Tucker's interview with Milei a few months ago?

Is Trump winning or loosing relevant to the Feds printing money or a banking crisis which cause bigger banks to swallow regional banks? We already know the financial system is rigged, markets are rigged. Trump can't un-rig them.

Wonder if this money trick will be play on America ?

They already did the LGBT trick on us.

(1919-1933) Weimar Germany LGBTPQ sexual decadency.

(1920 – 1923) Weimar Germany's paper money supply/printing in circulation skyrocketed to 496.6 Quintillion gold Marks.

(1922) 300 Marks exchanged for $1 US, by November 1923, it took 42 Trillion Marks to get $1 US!

According to Marty Armstrong - the world-renowned economist - the USA is on target to be in ruins by 2030 and by 2034 CHINA will become pre-eminent in the world - in all aspects. My heart weeps!! Marty is not 'prognosticating' off the cuff...he has developed a programed AI called "Socrates" that he's been using for decades--long before AI became a household word!

Me too, I feel very sad too, I LOVE America. We are witnessing our Nation being destroyed day-by-day right now.

Milei is another WEFer, and he went with the WEFer banksters instead of BRICS.

That says all you need to know about that.

Where are you getting this info, Justin? I couldn't find any sources that laid out that scenario on Milei! I did locate his State of the Country address--no mention of aligning with EU central banks - he does want to convert to the U S Dollar--so is that where you're getting your viewpoint on the "central banksters"?

If you don't hold gold or silver, you have no money to put on him, just a failing currency.

We are buying useful "stuff", because maybe "Made in XYZ Nation stuff " will not be available in the future ?

What constitutes unuseful stuff in your proposed premise?

Just Comment's avatar

Not useful stuff at this time would be things we cannot eat or use for survival:

Designer clothes, shiny studded purses, perfume, high heels shoes, showy exotic animals, custom jewelry, high end super shiny flashy cars, low rider cars, big eye-catching house in the middle of big City, lazy relatives, house with no yard, .....

"It's hard to time the market."

"The tide, if taken in full flood..."

Waiting for BRICS+ to take effect will likely catch the ebb and destroy any chance of his programme succeeding. Successful politicians judge these risks, and Mr. Milei is certainly more politically and economically aware and experienced than I am, probably than you as well, and consider the downside:

You are faced with the potential of four more years ofJoe Biden, we may deserve another session of Justin Trudeau. Presiden Milei must do what he finds possible, not ideal.

If you read Bonner Private Research on Substack you will have some local reports from Argentina.

We understand that the Federal Reserve Note is a fiat currency not quite equivalent to Parker Bros. Monopoly money, but despite its decline it has some stability. The Argentinean currency has been so abused for decades that its confidence is negligible and stability risible. The US dollar at least gives an illusion of value and an opportunity for honest reform. It might be sporting to trade a couple of thousand dollars for March 2025 USD futures vs Arg Pesos in case Joe Biden is reelected, a potential good win!

How quickly BRICS+ takes effect is entirely up to each new member of it.

Before Milei had been elected, Argentina was poised to join BRICS+ and many financial analysts expected it to initiate a speedy turnaround in its economy, as it has for all previous members.

How does the increase in the national debt of the United States by a trillion dollars every 100 days or so make the dollar stable?

Expand full comment
rjt's avatar

Yes.

Politics is the art of the possible. The Argentines have been accustomed to using the USD, which in memory has been far more stable than Argentine currency.

BRICS is likely possible in a year or two, positing the survival of the Milei government.
