If you live in nyc you know there was an artist in the 70-80s that stenciled on every curb on 5th Avenue a sign pointing to downtown saying. GROUND ZERO ~> pointing to downtown. decades later ground zero was the fall of the twin towers.
Of course someone got rid of those stenciled signs years before it happened. It’s really true these fuckers advertise with glee what they plan to do to us BEFORE they actually do it.

Hi there Geoff! As a boomer (now 65yo) raised in post-war Germany I can tell you that the depraved history of the 3rd Reich and the Holocaust has been part and parcel of school curricula and mainstream discourse since I can remember. TV documentaries about Hitler and his wifes, Hitler and his henchmen, etc. are on every night. The “Never Again!” and the “Fight against Right” tropes are ingrained into every child from Kindergarten on. There’s nothing adult Germans fear more than to be labeled a Nazi and therefore that label is nowadays doled out like candy to tarnish the reputation of everyone who doesn’t toe the party line (you see where I’m going?). If you criticize e.g. the LGBTQIA2+ ideology, the climate craziness, mass migration, or any other of these “progressive” projects you’re instantly framed as a Nazi. This has by now devalued the true horror formerly rightfully attributed to that term so much, that most youngsters don’t care anymore and just shrug it off – if now everyone is a Nazi, nobody’s a Nazi.
Also, all of these prescribed rituals of remembrance have never shed any light on the big questions of “how could that even happen in a formerly civilized nation?” and “who financed and enabled the hell on earth that was Nazi Germany?”. The young ones think Fascism and Nazism is present when brownshirts march down the streets with torches and swastika flags. I’ve railed for years against this empty ritualized show of remembrance and repentance, fearing that it will not only obscure historical facts but also enable exactly that what it allegedly tries to prevent. Umberto Eco (1932-2016) tried to warn us about this:

Over the last 3 years I had to learn that those fears turned out to be pretty spot on. In the 12 months of 2020 Germany was turned once again into a fascist police state for the sake of “public health” with no problem or real resistance, and without any awareness in the majority of people. Those of us who resisted were – of course – labeled as Nazis and dangerous conspiracy nutjobs, regardless of one’s expertise and professional background. I worked in medical quality management and palliative medicine for 20+ years and was told by former colleagues that folks like me should just be jailed or gassed for refusing the jabs. At our protests we’re regularly confronted by masked “Antifa” types (protected by police, mind you) yelling “We will vaccinate you all!”. They distribute flyers telling people “Don’t do business with the unvaccinated!” (formerly known as: “Kauft nicht beim Juden!”). They should’ve read Nietzsche: “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster.”
Well, at least now I know how and why the 3rd Reich came to be. IMHO, the failure of individuals and of every institution of society is even worse this time because people in the 1930s would have little ability to get valid information and were at the same time targeted by toxic propaganda 24/7. Nowadays, propaganda is still ubiquitous, but most people have instant access to all kinds of critical information and alternative voices, but they don’t care to look and won’t even read or watch anything we send them. They don’t wanna know, just like most of the “good Germans” back then knew, but didn’t want to know.
In early 2020 we were visiting our kids and grandkids in Georgia, after luckily getting on the last flight to Atlanta before travel was shut down. I spent much of our allowed 3 months researching and reading clinical studies. It became obvious pretty soon that there wasn’t a real pandemic unfolding and that there are indeed safe and effective options for early treatment. Vera Sharav was and still is the most outspoken critic of what our globalist overlords have unleashed upon an unsuspecting global population because she precisely pointed out the parallels between the “public health measures” of the Nazis and the eugenicist and genocidal agenda we are subjected to now.
Many countries, Germany of course being one of them, initially targeted the new “useless eaters” with the toxic injections. Our so-called Ministry of Health issued an executive order in early 2021 to prioritize the jabs for the elderly, the chronically ill, and children with physical and/or mental disabilities. Nobody seemed to understand but in my mind every alarm went off and I instantly thought, they are doing a rerun of “Aktion T4”. Australia, the UK and many more also went there. Our esteemed medical and political establishment didn’t object or question this executive order. In fact, some of our “socialist” politicians who for years had been virtue signaling in countless interviews that they became career politicians “because of Auschwitz” were among the most enthusiastic proponents of ever more draconian measures “against the unvaccinated”.
I apologize for this wall of text. I thought you might be interested in my inside take from the belly of the beast. There’s one question that keeps driving me mad, though, and maybe you have an answer for me. Why the hell would the government of Israel, specifically one Bibi Netanyahu, sell out their own citizens as clinical lab rats to an odious entity of organized crime like Pfizer/BioNTech and force them to get injected with potentially lethal concoctions “Made in Germany”? I read something there about ethylene glycol. I don't know anything about chemicals, but the jabs contain polyethilene glycol. PEG. It is made with 2 highly flammable, explosive and poisonous gasses and ends up in lots of shampoo and other soapy products. If you see the safety sheet of it, I wonder how many would have taken the jabs.
Miralax, an over the counter powder for constipation, passed out like water by unwitting doctors, is some sort of PEG.
My MIL uses it daily, and I can’t help wondering what it has done to her brain. I’m wondering what caused them to realize that they needed to evacuate people, like if a first responder or cleanup crew person (who started the “controlled” blaze) collapsed or died. I read that they had to evacuate the first responders during the “controlled” burn. The PPM exposures directly on site are enough to kill a human in the order of magnitude of minutes, certainly within a few hours.
Jeff, thank you so much for keeping the awake informed of what is happening in our area. I live within 6 miles of disaster and have a rental within 500 feet of Ground zero. Do want to correct something so you dont get labeled a disinformation spreader...they enforced a Mandatory evacuation within the 1 mile hot zone. This was approximately 24 hours before they blew up the vinyl chloride cars. The cars were venting product as designed through the safety valves when reportedly they quit which indicated a BLEVE could occur. Look them up and see how bad that could have been. No way to know for sure if thats the truth but supposedly thats why the charges were initiated..We have been stone walled by the EPA, NS and our local "leaders" this entire time. NS has been given FULL COMMAND of the scene since last Friday night when it happened.. Supposedly didnt know what was on the cars which is completely BS until yesterday?? The EP fire department is stating all their gear and trucks are contaminated and un usable...Contaminated with what?? They are also not telling us what the h is the contamination. I had an EPA and CTEH technician come to my property hired through NS to perform air sampling....Just checking for VOC's which readily dissapate...They are NOT and no one is looking for the particulate as products of combustion after 5 days of burning and explosions..I have experience with air monitoring, rail cars and chemical plant experience. I KNOW how bad this is.. the EPA lady who was at my house also knew that I knew...she stated to me to keep my foot on the accelerator if I'm not getting answers...she knew herself this "air monitoring" is a side show...My place had VOC's in the PPB range but <.1 PPM which is acceptable...Again the particulate from a superheated flame of this posion is WHAT? WHAT about this crap that was burning all Friday night when the accident happened. We are being told everything is safe...just like the safe and effective gene therapies....I as well cannot confirm the die offs but am hearing about as well. No national news is following and am thankful and blessed you brought this to our teams attention! Please keep following this and help us get the answers we need. My immediate family is 41 miles NW as a crow flies from the site. Something that I don't see anyone else mentioning is that Norfolk Southern had another 20+ car derailment in Portage County -- Ravenna, Ohio just 90 days prior. Luckily it didn't involved hazardous waste...or so we were told.

I have no doubt that DOD was involved. Considering that the fact check spells out the DOD involvement with the products (prototypes by contract) as a countermeasure that sorta IS confirmation. Not many were paying attention and aware of this until Sasha Latypova & Katherine Watts work shed light and gravity on the matter.
My husband and I were just talking about "what if that happened here" as the RR runs right through the middle of our small, rural (very conservative) town. My heart aches for you and your family and others that are living this devastating nightmare on top of the other nightmares we're all facing. The derailment did result in an explosion that woke nearby residents, who then witnessed flames "100 feet in the air." If I wasn't only 18 miles away and didn't have friends in the town, I never would have known this.
Apparently a couple of cars exploded, and flames roared for a while. What burned? What was released in the air?
Even after it was supposedly safe, those that returned soon had headaches, oozing eyes and puffy faces. Why no word on this?
Why are chickens even in Darlington and farther upstream dying? Why have my friends in Negley seen dead deer, coyote and foxes as well as dead fish? Why are all the birds gone? Again, I'm almost 20 miles away and it's eerily silent here. My Mourning Doves returned, as they do every year, but haven't seen them for over a week. No birds at all. And Little Beaver Creek, passing about a mile from here, has dead frogs and fish. And some kind of chemical slime that bubbles up when scratching the bottom or stirring up the water. Black clouds have been seen in the area from the "controlled" burn (an oxymoron if ever there was one).
Farmers are going to go out of business, with the sick and dying livestock, chickens, and contaminated crops and pastures. No more fresh milk, cheese, eggs, honey, maple syrup, beef, chicken or pork.
Where the hell is the media in all this?
Another question I have. Leake Oil gas station was right next to the derailment. I know for a fact that a couple of cars exploded. Why was there no shrapnel damage from that?
Leake Oil is still closed, but not due to any damage. Only the proximity. And a couple of miles down Taggart Rd into town, other gas stations ARE open. Like they are safe?
This is SO criminal. The ecological and economic catastrophes are being covered up. No doubt because neither the rail line nor the government are taking any responsibility.

I just read on another substack that with Agenda 2030 rules, the govt can confiscated "poisoned" land and move residents to other cities...smart cities.
With their "controlled" burn, they've also destroyed the food independence we've enjoyed here. Think about that one.
There were better, safer ways to clean up the spills, but it would have entailed closing down the rail lines, and shutting down the town for much longer. And would have made the EPA and rail lines admit to the extent of the damage and actually taken responsibility for it. They have not.

I have family in Beaver Falls, PA which I believe is only 15 miles or so from East Palestine, and I’m extremely concerned about how they may be affected. Prayers for you all!

Netflix filmed a disaster scenario movie there, which came out in 2022,and many locals worked as extras. The similarity is very odd. The Strange Sounds substack just linked an article describing it. Yes! Someone just sent me info about this!! This is not a coincidence. This all sounds nefarious. I don’t buy that they filmed this movie using extras from this exact town and then it actually happened in that exact town. Something about all this stinks of evil intentions.

Fun fact - "The China Syndrome" a 1979 "fictional" movie about the coverup of a nuclear reactor meltdown came out 2 weeks before the Chernoble accident happened. He's exactly right. I've been fascinated by this and how propaganda (psychological manipulation, which is PP) and read alot about it. I used to follow a YT channel called Predictive Programming until YT killed it. This guy had a phenomenal library of clips from movies, TV series, anime, video games, cartoons, etc showing snippets of pp that's put in "entertainment". Masonic signs and symbols and numbers that your mind subliminally acknowledges but you don't consciously realize it.
He came back under another YT channel name and made a backup on another platform but I didn't write it down before they kicked him off again! Ugh!

I live about 60 miles SW of E. Palestine. About two days after the “controlled burn” I was weirdly ill. My BP was super super low, and I was dizzy and fatigued all day. Very uncharacteristic for me. By the next day, and ever since, I’ve been fine.
I didn’t occur to me until yesterday that perhaps it was caused by the controlled burn. My husband had very low BP the same day.
And what’s over/under on the pharma industry reading this comment and begin market vinyl chloride burn-off as a miraculous BP medicine. 😂

The chlorine was cleaned up within 8 to 10 hours. Did the railroad company (I think it is CSX) fix the tracks? NO!!!! They only fixed one short stretch. People complained about rush-hour traffic being stopped because of freight trains, so now, trains loaded with toxic chemicals go through the neighborhood all night long, on tracks that look as though no maintenance has been done on them for 20 years. I mentioned to the township supervisor (in writing) that any future derailments could cause a catastrophe when almost everyone is home, sound asleep. I got no response. You see, my PhD in public health and my husband's PhD in toxicology are meaningless. We aren't the preferred "experts."

I find it all related. The same people who want the average person to sacrifice pretty much everything under the guise of "climate change" are the same people who are causing these environmental distasters. The detonation of the Nordstream pipeline is said to be the largest environmental disaster in history. How many people here in this group have heard or read anything further about cleanup efforts or the actual long term affects in the media? Now this ordeal in Ohio. This doesn't even touch upon the environmental damage caused by wind & solar. Or, the inhumane and downright tortuous conditions upon people making $1 per day mining cobalt for all the battery operated shit being pushed on the world. I could go on & on with examples of extreme hypocrisy.
Yesterday, I watched an old movie, "The Truman Show". I often feel like Truman. Things aren't adding up and someone is running the crazy & evil shit-show behind the scenes.

I am a hazardous substances engineer. The lack of evacuation during venting (sometimes it has to happen, depends on the situation) is so reckless I would consider the lack of foresight to be grossly irresponsible and every licensed individual should be investigated, with being fired, license removal, and criminal charges all being on the table.
This is a perfect example of why experienced people, with good field track records not political appointees, should be empowered to make decisions in emergency situations. Whomever vented that wreck reminds me of the geniuses in Oregon exploding a whale.
This is such a horrible situation and very difficult to know what is going on the ground and what course to take from thousands of miles away, but the town should have been evacuated. And hiding the rest of the manifest is egregious, because there is some nasty stuff on that train. I haven't had a chance to really think about the interactivity of the chemicals on the train, but the transporter should and should have had an emergency action plan beyond light a match and everyone goes home.
I'm an office guy, not a emergency field guy. Good emergency response workers save lives and futures, bad ones make things worse. We'll find out soon what we have in action.

Yes and Yes! If the Eco-terrorists and our government loved us and the planet so much they would use mycoremediation to clean-up the environment from this toxic release. I've been reading about mushrooms and their uses to restore balance in our environment for years. It's an evolving field but it's the type of thing that people can experiment with on their property without causing any additional harm.

We were supposed to travel to Pennsylvania this week, about 100 miles from this area, and be there for a few days. I was bummed when our plans changed last week, but now hearing all of this I’m Good!

The cops handling the reporter were over the top. I wish we could see the ENTIRE video and not a cherrypicked portion. I was in jis corner for the most part, until he says "This is what happens to black reporters in 2023.." Something like that. IMO - an issue totally loses substance and perhaps validity when an identity prefix is used.

Hi there Geoff! As a boomer (now 65yo) raised in post-war Germany I can tell you that the depraved history of the 3rd Reich and the Holocaust has been part and parcel of school curricula and mainstream discourse since I can remember. TV documentaries about Hitler and his wifes, Hitler and his henchmen, etc. are on every night. The “Never Again!” and the “Fight against Right” tropes are ingrained into every child from Kindergarten on. There’s nothing adult Germans fear more than to be labeled a Nazi and therefore that label is nowadays doled out like candy to tarnish the reputation of everyone who doesn’t toe the party line (you see where I’m going?). If you criticize e.g. the LGBTQIA2+ ideology, the climate craziness, mass migration, or any other of these “progressive” projects you’re instantly framed as a Nazi. This has by now devalued the true horror formerly rightfully attributed to that term so much, that most youngsters don’t care anymore and just shrug it off – if now everyone is a Nazi, nobody’s a Nazi.
Also, all of these prescribed rituals of remembrance have never shed any light on the big questions of “how could that even happen in a formerly civilized nation?” and “who financed and enabled the hell on earth that was Nazi Germany?”. The young ones think Fascism and Nazism is present when brownshirts march down the streets with torches and swastika flags. I’ve railed for years against this empty ritualized show of remembrance and repentance, fearing that it will not only obscure historical facts but also enable exactly that what it allegedly tries to prevent. Umberto Eco (1932-2016) tried to warn us about this:
«We can look wherever we want, in all Western countries, whether in America or Europe, the fascists are winning more and more power (the left helps them along) and transform the countries into surveillance and police states.
Present day fascism outwardly has nothing in common with fascism of the past. No uniforms, goose-step and Hitler salutes. No, it's modern, cleverly packaged and will be delivered with perfect PR. Over the last 3 years I had to learn that those fears turned out to be pretty spot on. In the 12 months of 2020 Germany was turned once again into a fascist police state for the sake of “public health” with no problem or real resistance, and without any awareness in the majority of people. Those of us who resisted were – of course – labeled as Nazis and dangerous conspiracy nutjobs, regardless of one’s expertise and professional background. I worked in medical quality management and palliative medicine for 20+ years and was told by former colleagues that folks like me should just be jailed or gassed for refusing the jabs. At our protests we’re regularly confronted by masked “Antifa” types (protected by police, mind you) yelling “We will vaccinate you all!”. They distribute flyers telling people “Don’t do business with the unvaccinated!” (formerly known as: “Kauft nicht beim Juden!”). They should’ve read Nietzsche: “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster.”
Well, at least now I know how and why the 3rd Reich came to be. IMHO, the failure of individuals and of every institution of society is even worse this time because people in the 1930s would have little ability to get valid information and were at the same time targeted by toxic propaganda 24/7. Nowadays, propaganda is still ubiquitous, but most people have instant access to all kinds of critical information and alternative voices, but they don’t care to look and won’t even read or watch anything we send them. They don’t wanna know, just like most of the “good Germans” back then knew, but didn’t want to know.
In early 2020 we were visiting our kids and grandkids in Georgia, after luckily getting on the last flight to Atlanta before travel was shut down. I spent much of our allowed 3 months researching and reading clinical studies. It became obvious pretty soon that there wasn’t a real pandemic unfolding and that there are indeed safe and effective options for early treatment. Among many others, I stumbled upon Vera Sharav and Dr. Zev Zelenko and put them into contact with attorney Reiner Fuellmich when we had to go back home. Vera Sharav was and still is the most outspoken critic of what our globalist overlords have unleashed upon an unsuspecting global population because she precisely pointed out the parallels between the “public health measures” of the Nazis and the eugenicist and genocidal agenda we are subjected to now.
Many countries, Germany of course being one of them, initially targeted the new “useless eaters” with the toxic injections. Our so-called Ministry of Health issued an executive order in early 2021 to prioritize the jabs for the elderly, the chronically ill, and children with physical and/or mental disabilities. Nobody seemed to understand but in my mind every alarm went off and I instantly thought, they are doing a rerun of “Aktion T4”. Australia, the UK and many more also went there. Our esteemed medical and political establishment didn’t object or question this executive order. In fact, some of our “socialist” politicians who for years had been virtue signaling in countless interviews that they became career politicians “because of Auschwitz” were among the most enthusiastic proponents of ever more draconian measures “against the unvaccinated”.
I apologize for this wall of text. I thought you might be interested in my inside take from the belly of the beast. There’s one question that keeps driving me mad, though, and maybe you have an answer for me. Why the hell would the government of Israel, specifically one Bibi Netanyahu, sell out their own citizens as clinical lab rats to an odious entity of organized crime like Pfizer/BioNTech and force them to get injected with potentially lethal concoctions “Made in Germany”? I guess Vera Sharav is right when she says: “This time around we’re all Jews.”

I am a little older than you at 71. My mother is 98 and grew up in Germany. My grandmother went through two world wars there. I have heard many stories. I read something there about ethylene glycol. I don't know anything about chemicals, but the jabs contain polyethilene glycol. PEG. It is made with 2 highly flammable, explosive and poisonous gasses and ends up in lots of shampoo and other soapy products. If you see the safety sheet of it, I wonder how many would have taken the jabs.

I’m wondering what caused them to realize that they needed to evacuate people, like if a first responder or cleanup crew person (who started the “controlled” blaze) collapsed or died. I read that they had to evacuate the first responders during the “controlled” burn. Do want to correct something so you dont get labeled a disinformation spreader...they enforced a Mandatory evacuation within the 1 mile hot zone. This was approximately 24 hours before they blew up the vinyl chloride cars. The cars were venting product as designed through the safety valves when reportedly they quit which indicated a BLEVE could occur. Look them up and see how bad that could have been. No way to know for sure if thats the truth but supposedly thats why the charges were initiated..We have been stone walled by the EPA, NS and our local "leaders" this entire time. NS has been given FULL COMMAND of the scene since last Friday night when it happened.. Supposedly didnt know what was on the cars which is completely BS until yesterday?? The EP fire department is stating all their gear and trucks are contaminated and un usable...Contaminated with what?? They are also not telling us what the h is the contamination. I had an EPA and CTEH technician come to my property hired through NS to perform air sampling....Just checking for VOC's which readily dissapate...They are NOT and no one is looking for the particulate as products of combustion after 5 days of burning and explosions..I have experience with air monitoring, rail cars and chemical plant experience. I KNOW how bad this is.. the EPA lady who was at my house also knew that I knew...she stated to me to keep my foot on the accelerator if I'm not getting answers...she knew herself this "air monitoring" is a side show...My place had VOC's in the PPB range but <.1 PPM which is acceptable...Again the particulate from a superheated flame of this posion is WHAT? WHAT about this crap that was burning all Friday night when the accident happened. We are being told everything is safe...just like the safe and effective gene therapies....I as well cannot confirm the die offs but am hearing about as well. No national news is following and am thankful and blessed you brought this to our teams attention! Please keep following this and help us get the answers we need. The derailment did result in an explosion that woke nearby residents, who then witnessed flames "100 feet in the air." If I wasn't only 18 miles away and didn't have friends in the town, I never would have known this.
Apparently a couple of cars exploded, and flames roared for a while. What burned? What was released in the air?
Even after it was supposedly safe, those that returned soon had headaches, oozing eyes and puffy faces. Why no word on this?
Why are chickens even in Darlington and farther upstream dying? Why have my friends in Negley seen dead deer, coyote and foxes as well as dead fish? Why are all the birds gone? Again, I'm almost 20 miles away and it's eerily silent here. My Mourning Doves returned, as they do every year, but haven't seen them for over a week. No birds at all. And Little Beaver Creek, passing about a mile from here, has dead frogs and fish. And some kind of chemical slime that bubbles up when scratching the bottom or stirring up the water. Black clouds have been seen in the area from the "controlled" burn (an oxymoron if ever there was one).
Farmers are going to go out of business, with the sick and dying livestock, chickens, and contaminated crops and pastures. No more fresh milk, cheese, eggs, honey, maple syrup, beef, chicken or pork.
Where the hell is the media in all this?
Another question I have. Leake Oil gas station was right next to the derailment. I know for a fact that a couple of cars exploded. Why was there no shrapnel damage from that?
Leake Oil is still closed, but not due to any damage. Only the proximity. And a couple of miles down Taggart Rd into town, other gas stations ARE open. Like they are safe?

There were better, safer ways to clean up the spills, but it would have entailed closing down the rail lines, and shutting down the town for much longer. And would have made the EPA and rail lines admit to the extent of the damage and actually taken responsibility for it. They have not.

I live about 60 miles SW of E. Palestine. About two days after the “controlled burn” I was weirdly ill. My BP was super super low, and I was dizzy and fatigued all day. Very uncharacteristic for me. By the next day, and ever since, I’ve been fine.
I didn’t occur to me until yesterday that perhaps it was caused by the controlled burn. My husband had very low BP the same day.
And what’s over/under on the pharma industry reading this comment and begin market vinyl chloride burn-off as a miraculous BP medicine. 😂
After Fukushima, when the media control was less, and there was a run on iodized salt, and the knee-jerk reflexive safety "experts" began downplaying it, pretending to find radioactivity only in a few tuna, some whackos pushed a media narrative of a pseudo-scientific oversimplified theory of hormesis, essentially saying radiation is good for you as it causes positive genetic shift or something. Oh dear! I hope you and everyone can clear these chemicals from their body without any lasting affects. My immediate family is 41 miles NW of the site. They don't seem think they smelled or had any symptoms. I'm terribly worried about them and everyone in this area. I grew up in Stow. Lots of friends still in the area. Did you notice those ugly clouds that were shown in some of the other videos online?

The nation's railways are in even worse shape than the roads. I live near heavily used train tracks. They are in horrible shape. Years ago, a train derailment caused chlorine to be released just a couple of miles from me. The whole neighborhood was evacuated, but most people were at school or work. The chlorine was cleaned up within 8 to 10 hours. Did the railroad company (I think it is CSX) fix the tracks? NO!!!! They only fixed one short stretch. People complained about rush-hour traffic being stopped because of freight trains, so now, trains loaded with toxic chemicals go through the neighborhood all night long, on tracks that look as though no maintenance has been done on them for 20 years. I mentioned to the township supervisor (in writing) that any future derailments could cause a catastrophe when almost everyone is home, sound asleep. I got no response. You see, my PhD in public health and my husband's PhD in toxicology are meaningless. We aren't the preferred "experts."

I find it all related. The same people who want the average person to sacrifice pretty much everything under the guise of "climate change" are the same people who are causing these environmental distasters. The detonation of the Nordstream pipeline is said to be the largest environmental disaster in history. How many people here in this group have heard or read anything further about cleanup efforts or the actual long term affects in the media? Now this ordeal in Ohio. This doesn't even touch upon the environmental damage caused by wind & solar. Or, the inhumane and downright tortuous conditions upon people making $1 per day mining cobalt for all the battery operated shit being pushed on the world. I could go on & on with examples of extreme hypocrisy.

The story out of Ohio really angers me.
I am a hazardous substances engineer. The lack of evacuation during venting (sometimes it has to happen, depends on the situation) is so reckless I would consider the lack of foresight to be grossly irresponsible and every licensed individual should be investigated, with being fired, license removal, and criminal charges all being on the table.
This is a perfect example of why experienced people, with good field track records not political appointees, should be empowered to make decisions in emergency situations. Whomever vented that wreck reminds me of the geniuses in Oregon exploding a whale.

I don't know what is more galling, the incompetence of these people or the contempt in which they hold those they are supposed to serve.
This is such a horrible situation and very difficult to know what is going on the ground and what course to take from thousands of miles away, but the town should have been evacuated. And hiding the rest of the manifest is egregious, because there is some nasty stuff on that train. I haven't had a chance to really think about the interactivity of the chemicals on the train, but the transporter should and should have had an emergency action plan beyond light a match and everyone goes home.
I'm an office guy, not a emergency field guy. Good emergency response workers save lives and futures, bad ones make things worse. We'll find out soon what we have in action.

Yes and Yes! If the Eco-terrorists and our government loved us and the planet so much they would use mycoremediation to clean-up the environment from this toxic release. I've been reading about mushrooms and their uses to restore balance in our environment for years. It's an evolving field but it's the type of thing that people can experiment with on their property without causing any additional harm.

We were supposed to travel to Pennsylvania this week, about 100 miles from this area, and be there for a few days. I was bummed when our plans changed last week, but now hearing all of this I’m Good!

The cops handling the reporter were over the top. I wish we could see the ENTIRE video and not a cherrypicked portion. I was in jis corner for the most part, until he says "This is what happens to black reporters in 2023.." Something like that. IMO - an issue totally loses substance and perhaps validity when an identity prefix is used.
I believe over 99% of cops are good people...that video angers me...I'd like to see what transpired before...like you, I believe there has to be more to it. Hopefully, we will find out.
So what if 99/100 cops are good people? 97 of those 99 (a vast majority-I hate making numbers up) will still do bad things and restrict your liberties if told to.
Any 'good cop' wouldn't be on the force.
