In 2021 FDA admitted the 6 ft rule was made up. The CDC wanted 10 feet, again a made up distance without science. At some point I ran across emails of the decision to go with 6ft and it was a coin toss number. Here’s one example.

The big giveaway for me was that WHO used 3 feet which was what countries in Europe followed. The clear randomness and lack of consistency showed it was not based on any science or data at all.
Well parts of Europe then. I am talking about the very beginning and WHO recommendations. I had friends post and talk about it and remember thinking and saying how odd it was that the recommendations differed so much.
Here is an article (in French) from May 2020 discussing the fact that some countries used the WHO recommendations and others expanded that and how there was really no basis or consensus for it.
Yeah, it was wild. Iirc over here, they worked on the basis that most people have a "personal space" of 1m, so they doubled it. I'm a runner, I had people literally jumping into traffic to get away from me - it quickly became clear that most folks are totally unable to judge any sort of distance. Especially when they've had the fear of god put up 'em by hysterical media etc.
Yes it was really ridiculous. I’m a runner too and while people weren’t quite so extreme here, I did have a few really make sure to go waaaay wide of me. It was rather comical but also sad.
The hearing also revealed that it was Fauci who recommended colleges mandate the “vaccines”. He really is the worst human being. Every young person injured should be suing him personally.
Linda, I worked with a guy who had previously worked at our local VA hospital. He said he was sorry he quit, because you didn't have to work. He and I worked for a private ambulance company. He drove and I was the attendant. He would only call in to clear our last assignment if a whole hour had passed, even if we finished in half that time. We'd sit in a facility cafeteria or something, doing nothing, until the hour was up. I didn't like it, but drivers were in charge and were the ones who used the radio.
Fla Mom, that’s typical of employees at any government agency. I retired from a state agency and we had numerous people who took 2 hour breaks, or their specialty was standing around talking and distracting those who were trying to actually work. They give all agency employees a bad name.
Not true for soldiers, at least, back in the day, though there were many civilian DoD employees I could have throttled. Some who were incredibly good, too, thankfully, but not the norm, probably.
I did a Pentagon civilian summer job once. I was told the first week I had to leave at 5 pm even if I wanted to finish a task taking only 5 minutes longer. "You are NOT paid to work that long!," my boss said. Clear message was just do the minimums to avoid being fired. Court jesters performing a Kabuki show for idiot royal bosses.
I hate when we are maneuvered to do things that we feel are shady. I am guessing you got fed up. My boss made me AWOL for leaving 15mins early for one of my Veteran’s funeral. She was not at the facility, however the second in command cleared me to go.
It was a power trip. I’m sorry that you were compromised.
At some point, I wanted to ask questions of the covidiots like what if I am 5 feet,, 11 and 7/8 inches way as opposed to 6 feet? Does that last 1/8 of an inch make a difference? And how does the virus know how far a distance is? Does it know metric or imperial measurements, and can it switch between its own safe distance, depending on what country you are in? If a train leaves Cleveland traveling at 120 mph, how long till it gets to Cincy? If the virus knows how to calculate distance, then it's likely smarter than most high school graduates who can only tell you what bathroom to pee in. 😂😂😂
Apparently someone pushed back that 10 feet wasn’t practical in the real world. So they thought, maybe people will accept 6!
Then businesses and everyone else put tape on floors, formed que lines and complied. Families stayed apart during holidays even without symptoms. So, they were right that people would comply with 6 ft. They had to balance and not push too far and cause a revolt.
Separation of any distance defied logic because air CIRCULATES! The plastic shields at grocery counters were also ridiculous for this reason. Clown 🤡 world.
Cheryl, this reminds me of the analogy which went around in saner circles (outside of clown world)….stopping the virus germ from spreading with a mask or a shield was like thinking that a chain link fence would keep out mosquitoes.
I was at the Madrid airport some years ago and there was a huge waiting area and the smoking section was designated by a big square taped on the floor. As if that worked....
Just imagine how much money businesses wasted on buying the footsteps that they pasted on floors all across the country. From the big stores to 7-11 and all the others. Some company made a lot of money.
When the 6’ rule came out I did some searching online. The particles were tested at traveling 3-13 feet based on coughs and extrapolated the distance for the difference of particle size. The small size also meant the particles could hover a bit before settling.
So, essentially, whoever came up with 6’ just split the difference, and people were lined up to GET covid if someone was stupid enough to go out when actually sick.
Also the grocery stores that had one way aisles were just leading people around through the particles. Again if multiple people were sick and coughed down the aisles.
If I had to stand in a line in the early covid days I did 1 1/2 of the spacers. People grumbled and wanted me to “stand in the line.”
Altho I was one of the first to wear a mask before Fauci demanded it, I happily, tossed it when I found a group of sane people which included a trauma who said early on that masks were in effective and it is a flu virus.

Nah, we had 2 metres here in the UK as well and yep, it came out a while ago that it was made up. 🤪

Even sadder when I'm still getting evil looks from folk in January 2024.....😬
Ugh that’s just beyond ridiculous 😕 I can’t fathom how people can still be this way 😕

The VA still has some chairs marked off.
Well, I know the general intelligence level and goals of those that worked at my former place of employment. It does not surprise me.

I was s soldier. It wasn’t true for me. However, I saw a lot of abuse. The VA was worse; power and control reigned.
Unions too.

😡🙄
Good grief.
possibly cheaper then taking the stickers off?
They appear to be attached with industrial strength glue.
That was my thought.
omg, lol

I wanted to do the same! No logic or reason in it at all!
“Word problems for Covidians” 😆😂
Even 10 feet separation is not enough, and frankly irresponsible. Twenty-five feet seems much safer. At least for Trump rallies.

They claimed it was mostly on larger droplets (another lie) and so would not go any farther 🙄 So distancing and masks would work to stop the spread 🙄
Thank you Cheryl, I am still laughing. Your 100% right clown world.
Remember that the bars closed at 10pm in some areas, because “Covid.” 😝🤬
I was at the Madrid airport some years ago and there was a huge waiting area and the smoking section was designated by a big square taped on the floor. As if that worked....
Like smoking sections on airplanes years ago…
6 feet of distance is a scare tactic. If you don't keep 6 feet apart you'll end up 6 FEET UNDER.
Thanks Alice! I had forgotten that particular one.
definitely won't catch covid there!

Here's another article about how Fauci and others dealt with the social distancing fiction.

The 6 ft rule was used because 33 ft was too far and 666 ft was "right out."
