I just remember how everyone looked at me like I was a nutter when I said covid was a bioweapon.

Remembering asking one of my VA providers that question and I'm sure he made a "note" in my medical record for a possible psychiatric intervention.

You probably already know that a bill is somewhere in the PA state legislature to permit Ivermectin be sold OTC. I emailed my state senator asking him to support it and he sent me a paper letter, instead of an email reply, saying that he's interested in the idea. It wasn't a full-throated support for the idea, but I was encouraged.

Last I checked the cost for OTC Ivermectin( in Tennessee) is $189/ 40 pills. In 2022(?) I paid $3.13 for a 40 pill prescription. Then around $12 for my next one.

If I had to go to a doc, I asked them straight out, do you push the covid jabs and give informed consent and do you believe covid came from a pangolin and if they are against ivermec or hydroxychlor for early tx of covid; if they said yes to any, i walked out and told them, they will regret those answers. then posted google reviews noting what they said.

I’ve been doing this too since 2022. It’s mind boggling how many want to shoo me out of their office the minute I start to ask these questions. We have sooooooo many uninformed and bad doctors and nurses today that blindly follow marching orders and believe they are in some superior position. It’s sad.

I even had one surgeon respond to me, when I asked very pointed and well-researched questions about a surgery I needed, she said, “you couldn’t possibly understand not having earned a degree as a surgeon” said with a disparaging laugh as she shook her head and put her hand over her heart.

Oh ok, so since I have a masters in Computer Science, I can then just assume that a person who studied ONLY the medical field couldn’t possibly possess the intelligence needed to understand the inner workings of a computer or know how to approach fixing their own when it breaks down? So they have the skill to understand the inner workings of the human body but not a computer?

It was so insulting. We each put our time and money into studying different things, it does NOT mean we don’t possess the capability to understand what the other does. I’m paying for that actual discussion with my time and money in that appointment.

Too many want to keep that divide between them and who they consider to be nothing more than rubes.

I live in "Trump territory" in north Georgia. This week while establishing care with a new PCP, she didn't blink when I told her I never took the Covid 'vax,' I stopped taking the flu shot too, and I haven't been sick since then.

However, the medical software system sent me a "letter" two days later saying "it's time for your flu shot." Medical insurance runs our care, not medical professionals.

I got a 20 minute lecture from my audiologist when she asked if I’d been vaccinated and I answered that I don’t do any vaccines. I gave her a 1 minute explanation of what I do and she replied, “Good luck with that!” I told I did not rely on luck but used my brain. Yes, I saw her “conference” with the ENT after our testing and he was was so arrogant and demeaning in his exam. I’m sure there was a big X mark on my chart as I left taking off my mask 😁.

When I lived in NC, my PCP was under the massive Atrium conglomerate where the bottom line is $$$, not care. I wrote a letter to the Atrium CEO about the poor levels of care and service, but he didn't bother responding.

Ever since I rejected the jab, that PCP treated me differently, essentially blowing off any new concern I bring to her. There is no excuse for that.

But this is the way our world runs. Insurance is an "empire," not a service.

Atrium and its practitioners are bound to follow insurance protocols by applying a code to everything under the sun, from which insurance determines eligible "treatment" (e.g, the cheapest). Worse, as a nurse told me in disgust one day, Atrium issued a decree requiring one of my docs to see "four patients an hour," which is why the doc rushes out of the room to make it to the next patient.

You should request a copy of your records to see what’s in them, then share the fun parts. We could all use a laugh. My husband was treated at the VA for 4 years for colon cancer. Towards the end I had to go through his records for info to try to get him into a study. When I went through the records, at every visit my husband told the nurse that he was going to beat the cancer. And every visit had a notation by the nurse that he was counseled that he was not going to beat this and that this was fatal. My husband believed in positivity, mind over matter. It’s sad that every time he went for medical treatment he was told that he was going to die from the cancer.

My dr scoffed at my taking vitamin D for preventive support. It was noted in my chart. She made me get a blood level because she was freaked out that I was taking so much. Granted, I had accidentally loaded my pill box with 20,000 units instead of 10. My level was >100; dr said I was "toxic" and that my vitamin D was, no doubt, responsible for my {last few years} of fatigue and I had to stop taking it and retest in 2-3 weeks.

I said (1) it takes several months for levels to re-equilibrate, (2) my fatigue well-preceded my overconsumption.

I retested in a month and then resumed a dose of my own choosing. The entire thing was absurd.

FWIW, for the last year I've been taking 20K/day. Every time I start to decrease, I start getting sick. So, I just stick with the 20. My new dr agrees wholeheartedly with my plan. He takes a bunch of D himself.
