"Speaking as a litigator, try as hard as you like, but it is literally impossible to “defy” the “spirit” of an order—because a court doesn’t issue a “spirit.” It issues orders. Not spirits. Parties aren’t required to hold séances asking spirits what the judge really meant. ‘Spirit of the Injunction, speak to us!’"

Oh Jeff, I can't even finish the rest of today's column because I am laughing so hard I can't see through my tears. Please stop being so darn sarcastically funny!! (Just kidding--keep it up).

I’m planning on using his similes and metaphors as examples when we study those in homeschool English class 😁

If you haven't covered alliteration yet, there is a veritable armory full in Jeff's writing. If you'll allow me, I'd like to articulate my appreciation and admiration for this honorable mention (at least) from Jeff's article yesterday: "Now their credibility is cracked, their legal strategy is lifeless, their narrative is nullified, and they’re clueless about who to chase next." https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/pharmakeia-wednesday-february-19
