Anyway, after watching it, it makes sense to me that he would retire. You can see him coming to the conclusion that he has enough money and enough experience to not put those ahead of his family and enjoying time with them. He could have vax related issues but certainly in this series you can see the progression of why he would choose to retire.
Instead of trying to live longer we should make the most of the life we've got. I don't understand the obsession (especially rich) people have with longevity and even immortality. $cience is spending billions on it.
And as for these so called tests - after the pcr debacle I wouldn't trust any of them, including genealogy. And the gene ones are only indicators not predictors and probably vastly over-hyped; you could mope around waiting to die for years - and then get hit by a bus.
Something gets us all in the end - why be so self obsessed that you stop living your best life because of something that may or may not happen some time in the future...
I think the desire to live longer is the result of a lack of faith in God, actually, no faith in God. If this life on earth is all there is you must live this life as long as possible.
So true. During COVID madness when people would ask me why I was not freaking out (I was concerned) I would say that I am invincible until God decides otherwise! People would get visibly mad.
A side note: 99% of the ppl that I know who didn't get the jab were Christians. No wonder they want us gone.
My take: the desire to prolong life is a FEAR of God, a fear that there may actually be an afterlife where you will be held responsible for how you lived. I don't imagine the life-prolongers actually/actively think about this, but it may be a tickle in the back of their subconscious.
Agreed. “They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.” Romans 2:15
Our Easter sermon was on this. We all fear death. And thus try to push it out as long as. possible. But yes for sure especially without a faith in God.
More than happy to share! Our pastor is amazing. I just emailed his wife to thank her for all she does to support him and make him even better. https://youtu.be/tX-Is29TBYM
I'd also like to know the title of that book. The older I get the more I look forward to heaven. So many people I love are there.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” Philippians 1:21. I plan on going somewhere far better than this planet, fun and interesting as it is.
Think about it, though. The mega-rich are very accustomed to being able to buy anything they want. Then they decide they want “to buy” longevity, which is not available for purchase. Add that to a possibly Godless mindset, ie, “I can do anything I want; everything depends on me,” and you can see why they become obsessed.
This resonates. It's the way I've seen it, especially with the idle rich where the self-indulgence is over the top. To see it is to know that such a life is vapid ... and indeed, actually pathetic. And yes, such people tend to be secularly obsessive.
Looking back at things from my mid-seventies, the joys in life seem very much connected to cycling through various age brackets. Like ... one's forty-ish years are very unlike one's twenties or thirties and so on. It well may turn out that 'living forever' would turn out to be a rather absurdly arid non-adventure. This is my suspicion.
And "Godless mindset"? That just may be a good summing of it. A lot of the problem in our time centers in the Will to Power to be a god-Man. Santa Klaus Satan at the WEF is arch-typical of this kind of obsessive absurdity. This by historical example never works out well.
I tend to agree. My wife cited some article that was singing the praises of stem cells and various other "promissory therapeutics" that would cure cancer and extend the life span.
"Now the challenge is to make it all affordable"
I just smiled and nodded. The amount of fallacy to unpack in that alone was far too much for me. Plus I would just get shut down....
Utterly ironic! So much illness and early death is caused by poor diet and lifestyle. If only people took personal responsibility and looked after themselves. That would see a huge improvement.
And then of course there is poverty which kills millions of children who never even get a chance.
Meanwhile the $cientists promise the ultimate prize if we just keep funding their research for a little longer. What's the expression about a fool and his money?
Jeff Gordon does a radio commercial. "The only cure for children's cancer is research". Like, WTH?? Really? Just pump some MORE money into it and we'll finally find "the cure". Problem is, there's already several cancer cures that have been completely suppressed.
They've been using the same playbook for years. In UK the richest charities are the main cancer ones. They have $quillions and are always after more. Another top one is RNLI lifeboats and The British Legion (supports Veterans) whose boss earns £130,000 a year...
Some living the most healthy life and living a long life practices are the same. I know God will take me when He decides to, but in the meantime - especially since COVID and a few other things, I have seriously concentrated on tightening up my fitness and what I put in and do to my body. And by fitness I mean doing different forms of exercise etc and paying attention to fitness markers and feeling well (instead of always nursing nagging injuries). Quitting work (for Hemsworth) is probably the best thing he could do for himself and his family. The only problem with quitting work when young (esp men I think) is you are in danger of loss of identity. You must guard against that. If you can manage it healthily (mentally) it is a great life.
It took me until 50 to smarten up about my body and life. I am a slow learner.
Indeed--why fear death, which is what brings us finally together with God? That would be totally irrational. But should I not thank God for each day he gives me by using that day, and my body, in ways that best serve Him? Therefore, I need to keep strong and healthy and practice stewardship over the land and material things He has given me.
Yes indeed and I am glad you replied with that. I pray almost every day for health, good stewardship for the things he so graciously trusts me with. I found you can pray with thanks for good health even when something serious is taking a dive. At least the other things are holding! Haha. I have had a health problem I have been dealing with - I have just reconciled that it is my thorn in my side and works to keep me in check. Hope I can do without it soon : ))
That's the way I'm thinking now as well (about life vs death). Of course, I'm at the end of my life road anyway at 76 (still have good health which I cherish and guard fiercely). It's all in Yahweh's omnipotent hands.
He may find a compromise. Working on projects in Australia, near his home or voicework or some other new venture. It doesn't have to mean quitting work all together. We also don't know what he has seen in his own family. If you see someone in your family fall into insanity, you have a different perspective.
My husband and I quite work 18 years ago. He stayed on for an extra two years and I traveled with him for his work. Then we were done. Not rich, but we are frugal. So far so good. When I left they offered me a raise to stay. No. when my husband left, they offered him money, ability to work from home, a better position and then finally threatened him. The only time we looked back is 2007/8. But it turned out OK - thank God. But we didn't go back because life was slipping away, we never saw one another and wanted something more and less stress. Stress was killing my husband. So, you see, if you can reach and recognize that you have reached a place where you can safely live on what you have and can manage the transition and have a loose plan for your longgg retirement and don't get greedy... ififif, people can and will do it and be happy.
I'll add that any time I get a notion (and I do) that if we worked to even 50 we could have been sitting on a Nordhavn 68, just the two of us out in the middle of nowhere (because that certainly would have been plan B) instead of... I thank God for the wisdom he gave us to know what was best in our lives. He guided us before we asked. A miracle. He has a plan. Eventually we got there. Wish it were sooner.
What a lovely reply. Thank you for sharing. I think we have very similar values: worldly frugal, but so rich in what really matters. I finished at 57 when my employer expected me to relocate offices and do two jobs for the same pay. I refused and walked away. They couldn't believe that I would do it - but I won!
Thank you. What nerve your employer had! especially in this day when fewer are willing to work! That had to be satisfying. I enjoy imagining their surprise and probably their own wish to do the same. Haha.
I don't know Home and Away, but who knows what path that family will take. I hope it is a good one! I hope yours is too! Many blessings to you and your family Marc.
Maybe because they don’t like where they think they are headed after death and want to forestall it as long as possible, hurting as many people in their way on their way, as they think is needed.
Scary huh? She was only in her early 60’s . So sad.
Do you remember when Joe Biden made a remark in 2021 about hospitals soon filling up with Alzheimer’s patients ? Do you think he knew something and let it slip ?
Neurological effects of the shot are very common disabling people of all ages. My son is national director of specialty therapies for a company that supplies IVIG products to people for these problems. It's a national tragedy that gets no visibility in the press.
Just after the jabs were available, there was an older woman (about 70) in our local Costco who was found wandering around, confused, and not knowing where or who she was. The rumor was she got jabbed and had been fine until that point. So the jabs? Certainly possible.
My mother in law, in her 70s, was just diagnosed with dementia (they think maybe Lewey Body, but that's just a clinical guess). She was healthy, strong, and sharp as a tack before the jabs. She is now a confused and withered shell of her former self, not knowing who we are half the time, seeing things that aren't there, unable to understand or follow directions. I am convinced it's related to the shots, and it seemed to happen pretty fast.
I’m so sorry. This is incredibly hard to watch happen to a loved one. Light to you and your family. ❤️
My mother-in-law had Parkinson’s/dementia. She was a lovely person, and it was just heartbreaking. I firmly believe it came about as a result of her having her gallbladder removed. She’d already had issues with digestion as a result of radiation. I think the gallbladder was the final straw. 😢 After that, she went downhill quickly.
I said the following in a separate comment, but I was listening to the doctor involved in discussing the genetic testing with Hemsworth. Apparently Hemsworth drew terrible genetic cards and has two E4 genes a finding which is highly correlated with Alzheimer's disease. Add into the mix and experimental shot and the unknown effects from it, and all bets are off. It would be really hard to carry his burden.

Ooh nice. My absolute fave book, but never saw that meaning. Thanks for providing.
Our Easter sermon was on this. We all fear death. And thus try to push it out as long as. possible. But yes for sure especially without a faith in God.
Do you have a link to that sermon?
More than happy to share! Our pastor is amazing. I just emailed his wife to thank her for all she does to support him and make him even better. https://youtu.be/tX-Is29TBYM
That was really a good message. Thank you.
YES! It was one of the best Easter sermons I’ve heard!💕
I also listened to the next one. 😁
Thank you! I will listen to it this evening.
If that’s not the right one let me know. It might be another recent one. It was in the intro!
I read a book once about a world where everyone was immortal. In the end they all committed suicide because life had no meaning or value.
(I wish I could remember the title and who wrote it. Anyone, please?)
Zardoz is a film about immortality and people wanting to die.
Sean Connery starred in it.
Lazarus Long by Robert Heinlein?
Well said! And so good to hear!

Money laundering...
Soon parted for sure.
A world without God. For those, this life is all there is….
Someone recently said (on a stack)--for those without Christ, this world is heaven. For those with Christ, this world is hell.

I'll give Hemsworth six months before he's back (with a $$ film offer he couldn't refuse - apparently everyone has their price: mine is very low).
Anyways, his wife will have sent him back to work to get him out of the house, and out from under her feet!

I have watched part of the series. It definitely pushed him beyond his comfort zone and I can see how it was a wake up call to priorities.
I have a friend who passed recently from sudden onset Alzheimer’s. I think there is definitely a link caused by the vax .
Sudden onset Alzheimer's? That's weird number one. Weird number two: to die from it?
Scary huh? She was only in her early 60’s . So sad.
Do you remember when Joe Biden made a remark in 2021 about hospitals soon filling up with Alzheimer’s patients ? Do you think he knew something and let it slip ?
It's the vaxx. Chris Hemsworth is Australian and they are shot up. Sads what has happened in Australia. He got the jab to be in Limitless.
Neurological effects of the shot are very common disabling people of all ages. My son is national director of specialty therapies for a company that supplies IVIG products to people for these problems. It's a national tragedy that gets no visibility in the press.
Such irony.
Well what Jeff said was that its a genetic predisposition, not a diagnosis? But as I understand it all of Hollywood is shot up too.
😖

I think we are really just starting to witness the neuro-psychiatric effects of these poison jabs. LORD help us - forgive us our hubris.
My mother in law, in her 70s, was just diagnosed with dementia (they think maybe Lewey Body, but that's just a clinical guess). She was healthy, strong, and sharp as a tack before the jabs. That's crushing to hear. I'm so sorry your family is going through this.
My gosh. I am soon approaching 73 and do not see myself as 'older'--just middle aged.
*chuckling
First, not far behind you and when I don’t think in numbers feel the same.
But, into the numbers, if 70 is “middle aged” then a lifespan is somewhere in the neighborhood of 135-140 years.
Honestly, I don’t want to live that long. Even with fantastic health and all my marbles.
Just silly ol’ me. More power to your 140 years long trip!
I get it. I’m in my mid-50s. Sixty no longer seems that old, nor does 70 really, but we’re getting there.
I said the following in a separate comment, but I was listening to the doctor involved in discussing the genetic testing with Hemsworth. Add into the mix and experimental shot and the unknown effects from it, and all bets are off. It would be really hard to carry his burden.
Yeah. His genetics and now finding out about the vaxx side effects is what has Chris Hemsworth changing his tune.
He also talked about watching his grandfather go through Alzheimers. I agree after watching the series his decision makes sense.
Called brain fog. Several clients went from fine to dementia, memory loss/brain fog and alzheimers in the last year. Came on so fast. All were vaxxed.
