Considering Collins recruited top "big evangelical" leaders to help push the "wear a mask, get a shot" narrative ... I don't see his self-professed Christianity bearing much fruit. Ultimately between him and God, but while his actions didn't surprise me, I was pretty disappointed by those who bought in and then pushed the narrative on the rest of us. I remember when Russell Moore had some pretty decent thoughts to share and then he went all-in on bashing anyone who didn't trust the narrative.

Agreed that mistakes were not made. Anyone who looked at history and the actual science-based plans drawn up for this sort of thing knew that the stuff we were doing was bad. From lockdowns/shutdowns to trying to "vaccinate" in the middle of the virus surging - all of those were known to be bad ideas ahead of time. Masking was pretty much known to not work, and many "experts" even said that in the early days before they all pivoted lock-step to push masks.

Yup, he did lots of ugly things but this was the worst IMO. He actively sought out influential Christian pastors, took advantage of their trust in a "fellow" Christian, and lied to them. By lying I mean he told them things that were untrue, or presented things as *facts* when he knew they weren't proven, but were guesses or opinions. These pastors then parroted what they were told to their congregations.

Side note in that the naivety of so many pastors, as evidenced by how many fell for this, is a real problem. Far too many refuse to admit that evil is real and it exists. It's not just Hitler and Manson.

Edit: And Russell Moore is a political activist, not a Christian leader. It boggles my mind how many people can't see this. This guy seemingly embraces every left-wing social cause, even when directly contradicted by God's word.

Anyone who accepts what Collins had to say simply because he was a Christian obviously was clueless or careless (as in, couldn’t care less) about his pro-abortion stance.

Any self-proclaimed Christian who supports killing humans is automatically suspect with regard to all other ethical matters in my book. The fact that so many Christian leaders fell for his lies says a lot about those leaders too.

The bioethics staff for Christian Medical and Dental Associations, when asked if he thought the jabs were safe for pregnant women, said that yes, he did, because Francis Collins said so and he trusted Francis Collins. This guy is an OB/Gyn physician (the bioethicist) and had the nonsense to say that untested new product was safe for pregnant women just because some other guy said so.

I was appalled.

And yes, I agree Collins’ life doesn’t seem to bear Christian fruit, yet God is the judge not I. Thus my description of him as “self-identified.”

Jeff C's avatar

Bingo, yet they did.

I don't have a grudge against them for listening to him with an open-mind. But before they said a word to their congregations they had an obligation to look into the Collins' history, long-known mRNA safety issues, and the toxicity of the spike itself. They didn't, or they would have been much more circumspect.

I have to say though, I'm glad I'm not a pastor. The bible makes clear pastors are held by God to a high standard, and those who lead the flock away from the truth will be held accountable.

When the Catholic Church tried to use Jesus to push vaccines I read the churches stance on using a procedure that had aborted fetal cells in it. The pretzel logic made my head hurt. Unfortunately the leadership of the church has turned into one big NGO. There is a core of the body of the church is sound and we just shake our heads at what-the-heck is going on. The fight continues and good always triumphs over evil. When I die I want to be able to stand before God and say I loved You, I tried.

There is a saying. ‘A fish rots from the head down.’ And the head man, the pope, wears a fish symbol on his head. A symbol of the pagan god Dagon.

I have seen it happen in other corporations, and indeed denominations ARE corporations. When the leadership is bad, it starts rotting. Not from the feet up, but from the head down. Just as our nation is now being judged by the world as ‘rotting’.

I don’t believe all people in the CC are bad, but the leadership is, indeed, rotten......just as our current Administration/bureaucracy.

And God and His people had better start realizing that while things may start out with good intentions always ends up with the greediest most power-hungry at the top. And then the ‘rot’ sets in. Consider this:

Proverbs 29:2

When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice.

But when the wicked are in power, the people groan.

Expand full comment
MayBella82's avatar

I disagree with you about the rotting starts at the top and goes down. I think good starts at the bottom and works it way up. Yes, power corrupts. Unlike this Pope who is on this earth for a very short period of time, my faith has been here since Jesus established it. We have had bad Popes before and our Church survived. Jesus said “upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it”. I think I will trust in God and leave you to whatever you believe in.

"A lot of people fell for the deciet." Including myself, my husband, and my two adult sons, one of whom has 2 young sons both vaxxed. So now, my only grandkids, ages 11 and 13; the 11 yr old has been diagnosed with CANCER about 2 weeks ago. We are not stupid people; all well educated professionals, but I was the only one to have the time to research the adverse outcomes of the jabs, and regretted my shots immediately (was suckered into it, thinking I would need it to continue teaching Sunday School and to travel to visit my military son in Alaska--and since they were "free...for now" I didn't want to have to shell out a couple hundred buck later for a possibly future-mandated shot). I am devasted. I can't imagine how my son and his wife feel; but so far I think it is just too painful for them to entertain the possibility that they inflicted this on their son by getting him vaxxed. They may never admit it.

I’m so sorry for the difficulties of a cancer diagnosis for your grandson Teresa, and the health of your family being compromised.

I would encourage you, if you were trying to follow the Lord and do what you thought you were all suppose to do by getting vaxxed, take peace in that. If you didn’t think to pray about it or seek the Lord’s wisdom, simply repent for “leaning on your own understanding”, and take peace knowing you are forgiven! 💕

Going forward, know that the Lord can and will, use everything for our good and His glory, that we will give Him. He is working in you and your family. His desire is to draw us closer to Him, and change us more into His likeness. This often requires suffering. Scripture tells us “Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered.” And He was perfect! So we need to learn even more.

I pray you will not let the enemy steal your joy and peace. (Fear, shame, and condemnation are not from God.). I pray you will see the Lord working, through the cancer, not in spite of it. That you and your family are drawn closer to Him, and bear testimony to His goodness in these difficult circumstances.

We definitely saw His goodness when our 4 1/2 year old was diagnosed and treated for 2 1/2 years for leukemia starting in 2018. She was healed, praise God, but the difficulty of those years was showered with His grace and help. He was working His good will for her and all of us. There were things accomplished that had eternal value during those years that we are so grateful for. We tried to trust the Lord, no matter the outcome, and saw our faith, and the faith of our children, strengthened through the trials.

I pray this gives you encouragement and hope for the new year. 🙏🏼💗

Thing is, it may not be totally out of context.

Deceptions are built on deceptions. A word or phrase is corrupted and then used to build upon other ideas until a larger idea is built upon a lie.

The fear propagated through the population will also facilitate more self-deception later on. What has been done will have laid the groundwork for yet greater deceptions to come.

The notion that a certain phenomenon is of science and has no spiritual nature is a prime example. Consider the notion of "alien visitors" now showing up on Rogan, Shawn Ryan, and legacy media. It's meant to clothe a demonic phenomenon in "science." One who understands these things are demonic will have a spiritual worldview. Another will dismiss that spiritual worldview because he has an explanation in "science."

The truth that they are fallen angels and demons will be hidden in a lie that has been under construction for a very long time.

Lies are built on other lies, they all come from the same source, and they all work to the same end. Satan was a liar and a murderer from the very beginning.
