As will GA and AZ and MI. They must not be given that chance.

In Allegheny County (Pittsburgh), our new youngish white liberal female County Executive all on her little own self, decided that we needed ballot drop-off boxes for the mail-in ballots for our May primary.

Mail-in ballots...let that sink in...you know, the ones you can just put into the mailbox.

Thank goodness our county's Republican committee just filed a lawsuit.

Michael Berry had a guy on his radio show Wednesday- maybe Texas AG?

I tuned in in middle. Talked about stopping the steal before Election Day 2020. Lawsuits against counties trying such tactics (ignoring & violating election laws).

Said he talked to Trump warning him such deviousness would be tried elsewhere & he’d lose. He said he didn’t know who thought up this maneuver (Soros or who?) but it was brilliant. Wrong but brilliant.

Mail out ballots to every person in the county. No verification of who mails them back. Just pile them up & count them (or hold till they find out how many more needed for victory then count ‘em - aka Georgia)

Pittsburgh is going to be a problem town, what with no police late at night, and commercial real estate devaluing at warp speed, taking the school system's budget with it. Much as I miss my hometown, I'm glad I don't have to participate in this rush to the bottom.

Don't call the police between the hours of 3-7 a.m.

Only 20 cops on duty for the whole city.

The mayor saved us from single-use plastic bags, but you can still get shot or carjacked.

...and our property taxes will surely go up to pay for the decrease in assessments on commercial real estate.

And Pittsburgh and Allegheny County are classified sanctuary cities. How have they escaped having bus loads of migrants? So far that is only happening in Philadelphia. Sarah has told the press she wants the migrants to make up for the population decline. I cannot help but gawk at NY city and Chicago and picture Pittsburgh as next.

I always ask, what about all those face masks?

Tossed on the ground. Tossed into waterways. Never "recycled."

And, some poster had asked this very important question, "if covid is so dangerous, why aren't face masks put into biohazard bins"?

Of course. Millions of "votes" in 2020 were manipulated by changing totals in the machines. Mike Lindell has proven this also. No election is secure if machine voting is used.

That is SO TRUE - President Milei only got into office in Argentina because the election process was completely revamped to PAPER BALLOTS AND ONLY SAME DAY VOTING. NO MACHINES and NO MAIL IN 'DROP BOX' BALLOTS!

That is exactly what we need. We all know why the DemocRATS don't want paper ballots and same day voting. We all need to fight locally to make it happen!

I have found the GOP to be historically LAZY when it comes to activism - I am heartened to see YOUNG PEOPLE like CANDACE OWENS, KATHY BARNETTE, CHARLIE KIRK embrace "grassroots activism" getting young people going DOOR TO DOOR to sign up NEW voters and lay out the benefits of going RED instead of BLUE!! Otherwise--we don't have much hope for a turnaround for our once great country.

Unfortunately, his first decision, to retract their application to BRICS+, was a mistake to clear the path for the adoption of the Federal Reserve Note for their currency.

Because with America's national debt increasing by a trillion dollars every 100 days or so, when the dollar goes down, their economy will go down with ours.

Where are you getting this info, Justin? I couldn't find any sources that laid out that scenario on Milei! I did locate his State of the Country address--no mention of aligning with EU central banks - he does want to convert to the U S Dollar--so is that where you're getting your viewpoint on the "central banksters"?

"It's hard to time the market."

"The tide, if taken in full flood..."

Waiting for BRICS+ to take effect will likely catch the ebb and destroy any chance of his programme succeeding. Successful politicians judge these risks, and Mr. Milei is certainly more politically and economically aware and experienced than I am, probably than you as well, and consider the downside:

You are faced with the potential of four more years ofJoe Biden, we may deserve another session of Justin Trudeau. Presiden Milei must do what he finds possible, not ideal.

If you read Bonner Private Research on Substack you will have some local reports from Argentina.

We understand that the Federal Reserve Note is a fiat currency not quite equivalent to Parker Bros. Monopoly money, but despite its decline it has some stability. The Argentinean currency has been so abused for decades that its confidence is negligible and stability risible. The US dollar at least gives an illusion of value and an opportunity for honest reform. It might be sporting to trade a couple of thousand dollars for March 2025 USD futures vs Arg Pesos in case Joe Biden is reelected, a potential good win!

Expand full comment
Vonu's avatar

How quickly BRICS+ takes effect is entirely up to each new member of it.

Before Milei had been elected, Argentina was poised to join BRICS+ and many financial analysts expected it to initiate a speedy turnaround in its economy, as it has for all previous members.

How does the increase in the national debt of the United States by a trillion dollars every 100 days or so make the dollar stable?

Expand full comment
rjt's avatar

Yes.

Politics is the art of the possible. The Argentines have been accustomed to using the USD, which in memory has been far more stable than Argentine currency.

BRICS is likely possible in a year or two, positing the survival of the Milei government.
