The Economist, a once great publication to which I subscribed dating back to college. The encroaching TDS and its changed world view were there fairly soon after Trump took office. I cancelled my subscription permanently when the editorial board endorsed Biden in 2020. I haven't read it since. I wonder whether their hearty Biden endorsement is mentioned in the referenced article?

And you can say the same thing about the WSJ - cancelled my subscription after 50 years when they started censoring any and all anti-left wing comments - they too have been infected with TDS

Cancelled mine when it became painfully apparent that Jon Hilsenrath was nothing but a mouthpiece for the Fed. The old WSJ was a part of my life-I read it as a teenager and later, loved to see the deals I was working on in the newspaper (long time ago). It's sad, but it is what it is.

And it’s not just political journals that are captured. As we have seen, JAMA and other scientific journals are equally as snared. Wonder what their subscribers, and worse—contributors—think.

Expand full comment

Their subscribers: a small minority (including me) are appalled at the JAMA’s (NEJM is even worse, if possible) descent into woke leftist pseudo scientific blathering about topics that physicians and medical scientists have no particular expertise in but not surprised, as we have seen it coming & gathering steam since the R v W now extinct decision; the large majority of docs are OK with it, as they have been indoctrinated into wokeness from undergrad school at least & the push to feminize the profession has had the med school faculty and admissions committees and administrators all singing leftist feminazi chorus (at least until transgender medicine became a thing and was found to be profitable.). Oh Lord, how I grieve for my once honorable (though always imperfect and conflicted) profession.

The contributors don’t think, most write whatever the drug company reps tell them to & tweak their study designs to make the results look better than reality.

The profession needs to be taken down to the studs, if not the foundation and rebuilt (The FLCCC Alliance & others are attempting that even now in the wake of the Fauci treason against the profession, the country, and humanity.)

Dr Kimber, one of my daughters is a first year OBGYN resident (actually now 2nd year, technically). She was the only one of my kids who seemed to listen to me and/or decide on her own no clot-shot. As a medical student they were recruited to administer that poison at mass-shot set ups. Last I spoke with her regarding the matter she said she’d had intense pressure put on her to acquiesce. I’ve been afraid ever since to ask if she relented (my other 2 kids did, sadly). She’s a very bright, good hearted soul. Any sage ‘been-there’ advice I can convey to her? Her original intent was to do a reproductive endocrinology fellowship in order to “help people have babies who can’t otherwise”.

I can give you all kinds of substacks where mother and babies are dying from the jabs! When I was pregnant in 90 and 93, we were advised not take anything since it could hurt the baby. I developed a rare liver issue where my liver quit processing correctly because of the pregnancy. It lasted until the moment I delivered and started in the beginning of my second trimester. It got worse the closer I got to my delivery date.I could not take the medication as advised by the doctors, my OBGYN! Now with all the incentives from insurers they only care about the money. She needs an honest discussion about this, otherwise she will be forced to push these deadly jabs! So why join the other murderers! Sorry to be blunt, but this is where we are now.

I cannot think of too many other publications more in sync with wishes of the Money Power ( the cental banking establishment) than the Economist. And that the Economist would deem it necessary to propagandize with such a flagrant cover from the other side of the pond says a lot about the Money Power and its reach, its ubiquitous all-encompassing penetration of control.

It is the starkness of the image which lunges and grabs ahold of the mind. And it is a graphic reminder that what is at stake and what is being orchestrated throughout the entire Collective West is far greater than just national politics in isolation.

The one thing I have always said is that The Money Power cannot and will not tolerate the 'employees' taking over the company store.

Did you see how “elite New York Magazine’s Intelligencer” contrasts the political divide? On one hand, “cocktail parties on the coasts”—the uber-cool, clean, and “enlightened” kids. On the other, “MAGA rallies in Middle America”—grandmas, grandpas, and (God forbid!) sweaty rubes gripping beer cans in calloused hands. Our self-absorbed “elites” truly admire themselves with their effete noses up each other’s in the air. Marie Antoinette at least had a passing thought about feeding the people. Martha’s Vineyard will give you a cookie and a drink box, tell you to get lost, and expect you to genuflect. Nobody resents cocktails on the coasts, but if you don’t love your neighbor, “you won't know what hit you.” That’s a promise: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).

Yes, it was very hard to watch. She was a lovely woman. I believe it was a result of Western medicine. Before my husband and I met, his mom had breast cancer and was treated with chemo and radiation. From what I understand, before that, she didn’t have the best digestive system. The chemo did a number on it, so she struggled with it at least 10 years before she got gallstones. I tried to convince her to try natural ways to dissolve them and actually work on her system to heal it as much as possible, but she was hooked into doctors, etc. A surgeon told her that having a gallbladder surgery would solve all of her problems and she’d be able to eat like normal again. 🙄 With her history, there was no way that was going to happen. So, they took out her gallbladder, and, the following year, the first signs of Parkinson’s appeared. The gallbladder is responsible for producing bile in your body, which helps your system break down and absorb food. Without her gallbladder and combined with her digestive tract issues, I believe her brain and body were being starved of the necessary nutrients. While it can never be confirmed, I stand by that conclusion.

A lot of the time, people don’t want to do the hard work in order to regain their health, especially when they have someone telling them that there’s an easy way, even if it’s a lie. This is not a judgement on anyone. It’s just how people are. It’s why fad diets work, why people buy diet pills, etc.

What does it say about the state of womankind in the US that at one point Biden led with women voters 58% to 36%. Unfortunately, nothing good. Please Democrats, remain loyal to Uncle Joe. Any new candidate is likely to infuse the Democrats with a new sense of enthusiasm especially if the new candidate is a women, because the mentality of liberal women is that, even if a woman candidate is unqualified, you MUST vote for her because she is a woman and if you don’t you’re a traitor to the sisterhood! It's like a giant billboard placed alongside a scenic wilderness highway.

There are appropriate places for merchandising. C&C comments section is not one of them.

Have to get that shirt, JP (are you by chance, J. P. Sears?) If you are...I've purchased quite a few of your 'pithy statement' tees over the past 4 years.

It's called gaslighting , and they have been doing it nonstop for at least 4 years. We don't really have high inflation, the jabs are actually safe and effective, the Ukraine is winning, Russia's invasion was unprovoked, you really can change your sex, on and on. Unfortunately for them, most normies are finally waking up to this.

Only now do they come forward with it... (even though it applied in 2019-2020) both to nudge Joe out and to BASH Trump with.

So the natural conclusion that anyone with half a brain can come up with is.....we NEED a president who's under 65 years of age BUT who's got experience to deal with the complicated world of Climate Crisis, Refugee masses, AI and de-Industrialization, Mental health crisis, Resurgent Russia, curbing free speech-curtailing violence, gender inclusion, reproductive justice, digital currency and employer oversight/security, etc etc. Who would AI select for us under the circumstances?

Funny how they are ALL suddenly speaking truth at the same time - or is it?

Pathetically obvious someone (or tptb) gave the "go-ahead" .🤔

El Rushbo spoke frequently about "the daily narrative" and often read examples of identical MSM commentary on his radio show. "The drive-by media" has not changed.
