Anybody else think we are moving on from the Donald Trump assassination plot a little too quickly?

Expand full comment
Valerie's avatar

Moving on? The media barely acknowledged it in the first place. I truly believe that Biden stepping down from the campaign was done a few days after the assassination attempt on Trump specifically so it could be memory-holed more quickly. How Trump handled it makes him look good, and the media will have none of that.

well we know the Trumps all said that the same forces (person/people) who went after his 2015-6 Campaign, his Administration and everyone close to him, then Lawfaring him for 9 years are the same ones behind the July assassination plot. Obama (enlisting Clinton, Biden, and Agency heads) certainly appears to be the main public figure of it all, and of course there are other less visible criminals who sway and control him and make him think he's significant. We shouldn't forget how Trump derailed the Jeb Bush presidency (he would have been the heir apparent even had 'Lary Rodhard Clinton won in 2016).... and earned the ire of McCains, Romneys, Cheneys, and others in the Republistocracy. These NeoCon Patricians despise his interloping even more than the Dems have and are Most Likely Colluding with Dems to take him out by whatever means required.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

For what it is worth, I make some very generalized assumptions about things. First, nobody goes down an escalator and gets up on the big debate stage, or survives what Trump has so for survived ... and survive it all by his little lonesome self. You and I? These folks attacking Trump? They would have had any of us for breakfast, lunch and dinner in about one flat Manhattan minute ... or less.

Trump probably learned the single most important thing in the real estate development business from his father, Fred. And that is, you are only as good as the people working for you. And Trump likes the people who work for him a whole lot more that the vacuous Manhattan social set. As to J. D. Vance, I suspect that he is maybe hated even more than Trump by the Radicals. And Vance appears to be no dummy, and maybe very, very sharp. Unfortunately, we are more the audience than not, which means that we will just have to wait to see how things play out.

As to the assassination attempt, who really knows what? And I am not going to pretend I know anything. All I see so far is a lot of jagged pieces which don't make a lick of sense and a lot of finger pointing. One can lose oneself in a well of deep speculation.

My last big guess here is that we can only expect amelioration. And if we don't hear the greatest economic crash in history of Mankind, that would be a major miracle.

There is a quote from H. L. Mencken that reads:

“Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.”

I understand how that author felt.

Once we can set our frustration aside and understand what is going on in America we must unite under the flag.

Under the constitution.

Which is under God and indivisible.

We see what has gone on long enough and what we Americans must stand up for:

We must understand what our reasonable service to God is.

Our own constitution states our rights came from God:

There is a quote from Edwin J. Feulner, PhD that reads:

“The Declaration of Independence asserts that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. In other words, our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are God-given, not government given.”

As for me and my family we believe that it is high time we come full circle back to the one who knew us before we were formed in our mothers womb.

To the One, Who gave us our rights and our life.

So we stand on God first, and become disciplined in His word.

We seek Him first in all things.

It is past time to be about His business.

We get close to Him so we can to shine light into the darkness.

Thankfully, “It is one day at a time.”

To wake up each day and thank God for each day.

Prayer changes everything.

May God bless you all this day.

Only 3 raucous pro-gun MAGA attendees were injured, one fatally. The convicted felon candidate Trump immediately took advantage of the situation claiming victimization by media and his opponents and called for his idolizing supporters to fight back insinuating a call to violence and political attacks on those who don't accept the Big Lies of Donald Trump and his controversial campaign. Once the alleged assailant was neutralized by the qualified professional security team it was immediately determined there was no further danger to the angered mass of Trump's acolytes who were being subjected to various mis-dis-and mal-information and incitement that is typically spouted during Trump's public spectacles.

She is a descendant of Hamilton Brown (1776-1843). He was born in Ireland and was a plantation/slave owner in Jamaica. His son was also Hamilton Brown (1833-1918). Christiana “Miss Chrishy” Brown (1888-1951) was his daughter, who married Joseph Harris (1871-1939). They had a son, Oscar Joseph Brown Harris (1914-1976), who married Beryl Harris (1921-1960). They then had a son, Donald J Harris who is Kamala’s father. Christiana Brown was the daughter of a Jamaican mother and Irish father. From there until Kamala’s father married her mother, all of the ancestors were native to Jamaica. She has more Indian blood than she does Jamaican or Irish.

Nobody is white. Compare yourself to a sheet of paper. That's white. We are not white. We all have color. Skin color is determined by the amount and type of melanin in the skin. We ALL have melanin. We are all just different shades of melanin. "Blacks" do not own melanin as much as they like to claim. So when it comes to skin color, we are all the same - just different shades.

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

I have to add, we are too often so superficial in our thinking. We use the term "white" or "black" as a convenient linguistic convention to differentiate people. But we are intellectual lazy slobs when we actually believe that these terms are literal! I'll give another example. What comes to mind when you hear the term "Israel"? There is a 20th century political state called Israel. Also there is a collection of affiliated tribes from 4,000 years ago collectively called Israel. Then there are the people of Jesus' day referred to as Judah which we still refer to as Israel even though they are mainly composed of people from the tribe of Judah. Are these all the same? We treat them as such because we label them as all Israel and as a result of intellectual laziness, we literally believe they are the same. My purpose is not to start a theological debate. My only purpose here is to point out how intellectually lazy we all are in our employment of language and "truth". Reality, more often than not, is something other than the lazy way we think and talk. I'll give one more example. We STILL use the word "vaccine" to refer to a murder weapon of mass destruction that never fit the scientific definition of a vaccine. Why? Because the term "vaccine" legitimatizes the bio-weapon and thus legitimatizes the mass murder going on around us.

The fact that no one can provide a specific definition for what makes one person “black” and another “white”, besides saying vague things like “you just know” or giving archetypal examples instead of a set of immutable characteristics that we can base that definition on, is very telling. No one can tell me where the “black” skin tones on the foundation color swatches begins and where the “white” begins. Not to mention Asian and Hispanic. Also lumping in Indians because they’re on the same continent with the Chinese makes no sense. They are as unalike in many ways as so-called “white” people are compared to the Chinese, Japanese, and other East Asians. All of these attempts to categorize people and make them fit into boxes that clearly make no objective sense is just a failed simplification anthropologists tried to make that we’d be better served to jettison.

So, years ago I had a position as a Russian language teacher, paid by a federal grant for magnet schools in inner cities. The premise was that providing unique educational offerings (like computer science - this was in late 1980's, Russian language, science labs) in these schools would attract white suburbanite students to these inner city locations. In order to "prove" this concept was working, when it came time to send in the grant reports, students were placed in the category of "white" if they had at least one white person in their bloodline. So, by that measure of our own federal government, Harris and Obama, had they attended this school, were white kids. There's the singular human race. PERIOD. Labels are a tool of Marxism to cause division.

Being Black is anything you want it to mean. I am white by day, but at night I am black and you can't see me.

My father was white, born of a white American female married to a white English father. My father was born in Cape Town, South Africa which makes my father African by birth (even though he was almost immediately registered with the consulate as being American). I am white and American born. But since my father is also African, that makes me an Afro-American. And since I am Afro-American, I must be black. And I could check that box on the government's paper. And guess what? I also pass for white all the time.

This is a bit of sarcasm. But there is some truth to it. After all, everything and anything these days can be what you decide it to be. As Humpty-Dumpty said, "Words are what I say they mean."

There is no specific skin color range that corresponds with “black” only and that doesn’t overlap into anything else, and the so-called defining physical characteristics are imprecisely described and cannot be distinguished from those of another “race” in any quantifiable manner.

In commercial areas, the cost of everything is so high because elitist investors own the land which you rent from them at exorbitant prices. They love their passive income. You will own nothing and you will be happy - sound familiar? This system makes the wealthy very wealthy and makes life exorbitantly expensive for the peons and surfs. It's like this in all cities and it's such a rip-off. It's worse than a time-share. As an example, hair salons are so expensive because of the rent - in an small city in a not so good part of town and in a not so well maintained building, we know of a salon where the rent is $5,000 a month. So just to break even, the owner has to clear $5,000 each month and that doesn't include other expenses.

Expand full comment
Donna in MO's avatar

AND in my city, as the older strip centers start to look ratty, the owners plead hardship to the city council and get them to pass CID's - a 1% sales tax on all purchases made in the center, where the money goes into a fund to fix up the property. And yet the city keeps incentivizing developments with EVEN MORE retail. It's hard to find places that don't have the added tax at this point. This is an issue state-wide.

A handful of our city council reps are starting to push back on this, but developers are BIG campaign contributors, and campaigns are expensive. Too few people donate - have friends running at all levels - local, state and even for congress, who are trying to not take PAC or special interest money but they are at a huge disadvantage to those who are flush with cash.

This isn't completely unheard of in other areas. Fifty years ago my first husband and I bought a house situated on a private lake. Beautiful lake, tucked away in NE Texas. Anyway, we were admonished that we only had a 99-year lease on the land, though we could/would own the home. I don't know if that's still the case, but I can tell you it was fairly obvious that the purpose was to exclude "undesirable" buyers. I'll leave it to you to determine who was considered "undesirable" in NE Texas in the 1970's.

“Where did the Towers go?” By Dr Judy Woods ~ This book contains physical evidence, not theories or speculation, but physical evidence that is overwhelming and conclusive as to what happened. But for the record, I do not believe that our government is responsible for executing the events of 9/11/01; nor do I believe that our government is not responsible for executing the events of 9/11/01.

This is not a case of belief. “This is a crime that should be solved by a forensic study of the evidence.” Before it can be determined who did it, it must first be determined what was done and how it was done.

The order of crime solving is to determine

1) WHAT happened, then

2) HOW it happened (e.g., what weapon), then

3) WHO did it. And only then can we address

4) WHY they did it (i.e. motive).

When I looked at that first picture of the Towers disintegrating, I had to ask myself if I have ever seen a demolition of a building with that effect. No... impossible. My first thought was of a small nuclear bomb at the base of the buildings producing that. But apparently, the base and the infrastructure underneath the buildings were relatively undisturbed. Secondly, while there was much evidence of "burning", there was NO EVIDENCE of heat connected with a lot of the "burning". What?! Apparently, objects like ceramic toilets and marble fascia on nearby buildings were completely vaporized into non-existence but paper objects were not burned at all. (I think physics might have a clue about this.) Furthermore, the sheer mass of the buildings simply vanished into thin air. What was left on the ground after the event could not even begin to equate to the mass of these buildings.

"After eliminating all plausible explanations, whatever remains, however implausible, is the truth." As far as I can tell, nothing plausible explains how this happened. The implausible explanation is that a "novel", unknown energy source that burns without producing heat was used to destroy the buildings. The rabbit trail leads to something called The Hutchison Effect which has always been disregarded as a "paranormal" phenomenon which is simply a scientific term for ridiculing something that can't be explained by the approved scientific paradigm. Among other things, the HE causes catastrophic fracture of metals. Now stay with me. This leads back to Nikola Tesla and his experiments. I don't understand any of this but apparently this rabbit trail also leads back to a part of quantum field theory called the Casimir Effect which has been described as "a force from nothing."

Now Nikola Tesla died in 1943 and upon his death all of his research was seized by the USG and has not seen the light of day since. Who knows what these idiot Gov't researchers have done with it? Nothing would surprise me anymore.

Are home prices over valued in Austin?

Expand full comment
Pat Wetzel's avatar

Home prices across the country are 7-8 times annual earnings versus a 3x historic multiple. It's simply not sustainable. Reversion to mean is inevitable, just the timing is questionable. Check out the links I posted. Both are very interesting.

My experience in real estate is that somehow smart people become stupid when they join NAR (National Assn Relators) And keep in mind that the NAR narrative only represents existing housing. In the Boise area, for eg, Toll Brothers was recently offering up to $75k in incentives to purchase some of their homes. Those incentives are not showing up in the appraisal values (which is another simmering problem that will eventually hit the real estate market). Builders don't offer incentives in booming markets.

Stay tuned for the FOMO moment when all of a sudden home owners/boomers with equity realize that they need to sell NOW, before everyone else does. Give that panic a year of two, then it might be time to buy.

Expand full comment
Donna in MO's avatar

Depends on the market. Prices definitely accelerated here, but there are still reasonably priced homes to be had if you are patient, not looking for all the bells and whistles, like walk in closets, master suites, etc. Biggest problem is competing with investors offering 'cash', no inspection, no appraisal. They've been 25% of the sales the last 3 years. What happens if they go belly up due to no more cheap money and all those homes get dumped on the market?

There is a company called True Hold who is buying a lot of airtime on local radio, offering to buy your house, take over maintenance, taxes and insurance, and rent your home back to you. Seems like a house of cards and sketchy as heck.

Sort of - but mostly because of supply/demand. There are a LOT of people coming in to Texas (and especially Austin) as their companies move here. So there's a shortage of affordable housing and prices have shot up for homes - 3-4x what they were back in 2019.

We lived in CA over 20 years ago and it feels like the CA real estate market has moved to Raleigh. I hate it. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to move or I'd get the heck out.

So not doubled, but still....has had 2 pending sales fall through though, so suspect a price drop may be coming.

Donna in MO's avatar

Well and between materials costs, labor shortage, and massive over-regulation, there are few single family homes being developed, especially those in the 'affordable' range. I am in a suburb of KC and new homes are still being built, but they start at $500K, 2K+ sq ft and are crap builds. KC passed an ordinance slapping new green regs on development and has seen almost NO new SF home permits issued this year. In a city of 500K people! But every week a new apartment development is announced.

I will note, though, I knock a LOT of doors for candidates. The software is not all that accurate, but will give you the age and party of the resident (it's a guess, party registration is optional in MO) and I am constantly surprised how many people in their 70's, 80's and even 90's are still in their homes. These folks won't live forever, and a lot of homes will be coming on the market in the next decade as the boomers+ die off. Many of these homes are not updated/obvious maintenance issues and lack the amenities that too many want/expect today. So they will sell to investors who turn them into rentals.

We are in an HOA and saw this first hand - aging owners can't keep up, sell, but few takers for homes with shag carpet, yellow linoleum in the kitchen and flowered wallpaper, so investors buy them and rent them out. We voted to ban rentals going forward to stop this trend 2 years ago (but legally had to grandfather in existing ones) and are seeing some young families move in and renovate. My son and his wife started looking in 2020 and wanted 'move in ready' but reality set in and they bought a dated house with 'good bones' and are still working on it as cash allows, but took them 6 months to find something they could afford.

My little town of Carson City is building 3-level homes with only the required 10 ft between them. These “communities” are popping up all over. One of these was supposed to be “low income” housing but the starting price is between $4-500,000 each. We can’t even afford that, not at the current interest rates. There are no new neighborhoods with large lots for a family being built. The single family homes being built don’t have much of a backyard and the neighbors are too dang close. Might as well live in an apartment.

Expand full comment
Donna in MO's avatar

yep, one developer proposed an 'affordable' development that would have trashed all of the codes for setbacks, yard size, parking, etc. Didn't pass as the surrounding neighborhoods raised h*ll saying this level of density would hurt property values, increase traffic, etc. Prices still exceeded 'affordable' - defined as the payments for a person making the county-wide median family income could not exceed 30% of income, and they were the same, 3 story, tall skinny homes with no basements and almost no yard, save a 'common area' green space. Funny, they said would appeal to seniors since the tiny yards would be easy to maintain, but my parents downsized due to trouble navigating the stairs when they were in their 70's. - how many seniors want all those stairs a 3 story home would have?!

Our city has given property tax breaks to THIRTEEN apartment/mixed use developments in the last 5 years. The MO legislature passed a 'break for seniors' to where those over 62 can freeze their value. Problem is, not all seniors are poverty stricken, but they VOTE. The rest of us are going to be picking up the tab for the lost revenue, and for young people with mortgages, their house payments will keep going up to cover the escrow. + insurance rates going through the roof after 2 years of a lot of hail and severe weather damages. We 'own' our home, but that is an illusion. Don't pay property tax after 3 years and the county will sell your house on the courthouse steps. Bill comes out in November, due Dec 31. We paid it but Christmas was very lean last year, ours went up almost $1500. And then the Chiefs and Royals convinced the county to put a tax increase on the ballot in April for upgrades to Chiefs and a new downtown ballpark for the Royals. Can you imagine the uproar that caused in Synagogue? He declared himself God to all the men who believed they had something to do with their own salvation. The self-righteous indignation and outrage would have been fun to watch but unfortunately it turned them into men of violence.

They thought well of Him, until He said the next things. Then:

And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things; and they got up and drove Him out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, He went His way.

But Jeff needs to know the government of Florida is still pushing this stuff. Got this today from Sarasota County:

"DOH Sarasota back-to-school immunization clinics

The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County (DOH Sarasota) is slated to host a back-to-school immunization clinic. All required immunizations for entry into school will be offered. Each child must be registered in Florida Shots and parents must bring each of their children’s birth certificates and their valid ID.

Upcoming back-to-school immunizations clinics:

Saturday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. to noon, at DOH Sarasota's Ringling Immunizations Clinic, located at 2200 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. Click here for more information.

Sunday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to noon, at DOH Sarasota's North Port Immunizations Clinic, located at 6950 Outreach Way, North Port. Click here for more information.

Saturday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to noon, at DOH Sarasota's Ringling Immunizations Clinic, located at 2200 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. Click here for more information.

For more information, please visit sarasota.floridahealth.gov."

I went to the link where you need to register, https://rwces.floridahealth.gov/Immunization/ImmunizationForm, look at the information they are collecting:

CHILD AND ADULT SCREENING: Please mark if any of the following apply today to the client to be seen.

Client has fever or is sick today.

Client has allergies to medications, food, latex or vaccine.

Client has had a serious reaction to a vaccine in the past.

Client has had chicken pox.

Client has received vaccinations in the past four weeks.

Client has had seizures or any other brain problem.

Client is pregnant or could become pregnant in the next month.

Client has cancer, leukemia, HIV/AIDS or other immune problem.

Client has received a transfusion of blood or blood products, or immune (gamma) globulin in the past year.

Client has had prednisone, steroids, anticancer drugs or radiation treatments in the past three months.

Client has asthma or smokes cigarettes.

Interesting. I wonder if they still give the vaccine to the kid that shows up with a fever?

And I would like to see some way of shutting this propaganda and pressure down. Maybe a mass letter campaign to Ladapo??

Expand full comment
Marilynne Martin's avatar

I am not sure.

But here in Sarasota, our public hospital refuses to put Ladapo's Covid 19 vaccine recommendations on their website. They don't agree with it.

https://www.wusf.org/health-news-florida/2024-05-22/sarasota-hospital-board-not-endorse-ladapo-covid-19-vaccine-claims

Regarding mass letter campaigns, not sure if they are helpful, since no one has to listen to the State Surgeon General anyway.

But a good issue to go after is the Day 1 vaccine - Hep B. No one can really defend that part of the vaccine schedule. What are they doing with the toddlers in pre-school that they are worried about them getting Hep B?

I’m not in Florida so can’t help much there but I would like to see these dominoes start falling. Funny, the hospitals and schools slavishly went along with the state health department and their recommendations on masks, social distancing and so on during Covid, saying they “had” to but conveniently decide to ignore them when it doesn’t suit them 🙄 I guess they must be following only the CDC now. Also funny how they seem to like following the directives when they can make money on them 😑

Could not agree more about HepB, neither of my kids got that and I think it’s especially stupid to recommend, let alone require, HepB shots at birth 😡

MRNA stock peaked three years ago at $497. The government has recently given them about $176 million to develop mRNA based injections for birdy flew. So, despite flagging sales, they are being funded to continue to be a factor in the mRNA arena.

You have to wonder what the next fake pandemic will look like. RSV becomes CoV-3? Birdy flew lockdowns? A worldwide emergency of some sort declared by WHO and the UN? Beware, the globalists still want billions of humans erased from the planet. No politician is gonna save us.

Keep your ears tuned to developing news if another pandemic hits. Those of us who have sworn off vaccines, prescription drugs, etc may be the victims if the next plandemic release DOES require a vax or an antidote. That way those pesky citizens who stand up against big pharma will be the ones to go and the sheep who will take any big pharma product will survive (just what the deep state want). So keep your eyes and ears sharp for developments in the next big pharma scam.
